You Can't Smoke E-Cigarettes In Planes - Business Insider

I posted a comment on this poorly researched article pointing out that the DOT has NOT banned e-cigarette use on airlines, and describing the agency's attempts to ban e-cigarette use on airlines in 2011.

Well Done!!

They will probably ban Snus, chew and Camel Orbs on airlines eventually.

The only thing that will be allowed is Glaxo Nicorette gum. As long as you have a receipt from CVS proving that you paid $50.

It's all about the $$$$$$$.

When on planes, I stealth vape. Small drags and don't exhale the vapor. No reason to cause a panic at 50,000 ft.

Stealth vaping can be done anywhere.

I did it right in front of the Ohio County Board of Health at a 2011 meeting when I was testifying against their proposed regulation to ban e-cigarette use in all workplaces and outdoors on all government and healthcare facility property.

Right before I did the stealth vaping, I told all members of the Board of Health (who sat about 10-12 feet away from me) and everyone else in the room to watch me very closely to see if they could tell whether or not I was vaping. Then I held an e-cig inside my hand (so they couldn't see it), raised it to my lips, inhaled for several seconds, held my breath for several seconds, and then exhaled (with no visible vapor).

Then I asked the Board of Health if any of them could tell whether or not I was using the e-cigarette. After none of them responded, I told them if they couldn't tell whether or not I was vaping (when I was holding an e-cigarette to my lips), that it would be impossible for employers to enforce an e-cigarette usage ban throughout their facilities, and that it would be impossible for health department inspectors going to enforce the regulation.

We need a MOD with this design for vaping where the
Nanny State or the "Easily Offended" disapproves of e-smoking.
:p

I actually did see one recently at a custom mod vendor in the UK!

Affordable Mods - Custom |Builds

(um, ignore the "adult-style" one as you scroll to the bottom picture to see the one you actually described  )

So Calif
I seem to have too much VG in my usual mix to hide exhaling vapor easily. On a plane, go to the can, hit your PV, push the button to open the sink drain and exhale down it. Vacuum sucks the vapor right out, no danger of activating the smoke alarm. I plan to practice this again on the way to Vape Bash in April and, of course, on the way home.

To anyone listening it sounds like you're washing hands or face and dumping the water.
