I thought it would be cool for all the forum artists to get to know each other and share work so I started this thread. I do drawing and graphic design mostly, and I've been creating art for as long as I can remember. I only have a few pictures online but I'll share what I have.

I'll start of with just some sketches, the first two I did while waiting at traffic court:

This is just the drawing above that I quickly added color to on the computer for my little brothers report:

Just a simple horse:

These apples were an excersise I did in speed drawing, about 2-3 minutes on each:
3minutePastelApples.jpg

I got my friend some custom guitar picks and started doodling on the envelope b/c I was bored:

A mock stained-glass project:

Some photography, the first one is digital and the second is B+W that I developed myself:

A metamorphosis sculpture series I did representing the circle of life; if the second one from the right looks like it's too tall, it is, the top and bottom piece are seperate and the top piece wasn't fitting all the way down into the bottom piece:

And last but not least, my version/spoof of Picasso's "The Old Guitarist," I present "The Old Guitar-Hero":

I can't wait to see other people's art!

Lovely art... and great thread! :D I'd been wanting to start a thread asking what folks did for a "living" (or hmmm to make money for vaping!) Just always interesting to learn if people "love" their work... or just "work" to live! ;)

Don't know if most will think dog grooming is "art" but... I'm a dog groomer... and I LOVE what I do! :D

Here is a slideshow of before/after pictures of some of the dogs I've groomed: Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

...let alone draw. So I have tremendous respect (and envy) for those who can. Very nice DC!

Mixxy, there is art to the precision of dog grooming. You do nice work! This one looks like my new pup, Callie who's now 9 months old.Any idea what the breed is? Mine was a rescue and she was listed as a husky mix!.
Hope you don't mind but I linked a copy of your pic of Grace.

Here's Callie after her last grooming:

Back to the real topic: I can't draw but I can use a computer and I love to doodle. I made these mandalas with a mandala program available out on the web. I find the process very relaxing and a nice outlet for whatever creative impulse I have.

Here's one I just like:

My turn with sepia:

These last two are inversions of one another. The first one is the original and the second one is the inversion:

Thanks gep! Your Callie... AND your mandalas are just beautiful! :D Little Grace is a maltese mix, and she does look a lot like your Callie! I'm a bad judge of dog breed (mixes) especially from a picture where I can't tell the exact size/weight. If they told you Husky mix.. hmmm... I'd probably say more likely an American Eskimo mix, from the size guess of your picture... but bottom line... she is an absolute DOLL no matter what mix she is!

Here is some stuff i did a little while ago, most everything i do now is airbrushed. The blue chick and flames was for a golf kart, the second is a motorcycle i did.
Wow, I'm really jealous of your skill with an airbrush, those are incredible, far beyond my levelof skill. How much does it cost for the initial start-up to begin airbrushing?
only music Davey Roots on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Videos dont click if your a fan of george bush or his regime
Awesome music man, it's going excellent with this bowl I just lit up:)
Can you email me those so I can put them on my MP3 player? dcrist721@gmail.com

But wow, I bow down to both of you; you guys have some incredible talent, don't let it go to waste.

Maybe us visual artists could do some trading. I don't know if you guys are familiar with Artist Trading Cards, but they are 2.5'x3.5" cards that you create a small piece of artwork on and then you trade them with other artists. They sell them in packs at art supply stores or you could just cut out a 2.5"x3.5" piece of card stock. Does anyone think that they might be interested in doing this?

The 3 on the left have opals in them.

This one also has an opal. A green opal at the bottom.

As you can see, I've been on a honeycomb kick lately. I love how organic the design is when the dot placement is perfect.

I'll get some wine glasses up in here when I get the chance.

I'm not usually one to get excited about flame jobs. Probably because most look like crap. But you've got it down. That fender really looks like it's on fire. Do you powdercoat? I need to get my torch powdercoated.

Wow, there's some great stuff here. We've got some talented vapers! I dabble in lampwork too. I primarily make beads and sometimes I'll make jewelery pieces from the beads. Here's a link to my mobilme gallery. You can click on the pictures to enlarge. Enjoy!

4113 and the mermaids are cool. Especially 4113. Love the airtraps. I'm currently working on human form, but off mandrel, with tubing. It's hard. Hardest part, imo, is proportion.

You have some nice work in there!

About the PM: Negative Ghostrider, the patern is full. I didn't receive a pm. I might have erased it on accident.
