Artsy Drip Tips

So as a glassblower and jeweler, I am on the search for a nice drip tip.

I don't like the idea of a glass drip tip or i'd have tons, the idea of a sterling silver (with bead set stones in it) is awesome, but requires a lot of time, planning and design, casting and finishing, a fairly lengthy project.

I am looking for some very interesting, artsy, acryllic or wood or anything for that matter other than glass drip tips. Looking for something different. Any good sites out there that sell some very different, not normal or ordinary drip tips? TIA guys and gals.

thanks everyone! i have been looking at the first link, they have some amazing tips, but is $25 worth it for an acrylic? I know they're nice and im sure fairly one of a kind(ish)

I guess that is in the eye of the purchaser. I would not spend that kind of dough on a drip tip. But they are in business, so I guess someone is buying.

I'm not sure if these are "special" enough but Madvapes LLC - E Cigarettes, Electronic Cigarettes, Vaping Supplies has a good selection of the swirly acrylic drip tips. They are just the plain old shape, but the colors are pretty.

Drip tips get some juice condensation inside them and you also transfer some vaporized juice from your mouth to the outside of the drip tip. I don't think it would be a good idea to use silver for a drip tip other than just for display as it's highly likely to be reactive to the condensation—not good for the silver or you.

You could probably manage to rustle together some stones that would withstand juice and set them in gold but it would be silly expensive. That said, with the ECF vape gear collector crowd I wouldn't be shocked if you ended up with buyers lined up for ten years should you decide to make some.

The supplier in this thread has some nice non-glass tips, New Wood, Acrylic and Tru Stone Drip tips. However, I would stick with display only for the wood and Tru Stone tips.

Can I ask why exactly you don't like the idea of glass? Just really curious.

What is the issue with using sterling silver as a drip tip? We use sterling on our silverware, polished or tarnished, and it goes in our mouth all the time. It touches all sorts of acids and food products. Is there an issue with the tarnish from sterling silver?

Drip tips have nearly constant contact with juice condensate which is very likely to chemically react with the silver. Sterling flatware and serving pieces only come in contact with potentially reactive foods for short periods of time and, with one's mouth, even less time than constant sucking on a drip tip typical of vaping use.

Silver is a fabulous conductor of heat which also might pose some problems.

It would be an awfully pricey experiment to see if sterling would be practical as a drip tip.

Yes, the Bully tips are very nice, well made, and durable. I have a couple and they stand up very well and look great on my RBAs/RDAs.

Health, taste and heat would be my concerns, although I would expect looks might not do so well.
