As a Provari owner...

I need recommendations for a dependable 5 volt backup e-cig. I love my Boge 3.0 ohm cartos at 5.0 volts and want something else that is regulated for 5 volt and uses the 18650 battery, something I can take where I would not want to carry my Provari around with me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on your budget but if you are looking for a work a day mod I would just pick up something that does 5v from the Classifieds.

If aesthetics aren't an issue just functionality just pick up a beater use it till it dies and start over. I have a Vmod XL that functions beautifully with LR atty's and has an 18650 so will be using that for my work day mod. It holds 9ml of juice, with the 18650 battery lasts all day, vapes magnificently and if it dies....well I just buy another. All I have to carry is a spare atty.

Get a GLV,the XL takes 18650s and its very rugged and sturdy.

I have the GLV mini - a replacement for the one I gave away when I got my ProVari, thinking I'd never want another PV. But, it turns out I do turn to my GLV occasionally as a change-up. The mini doesn't do 5v, but they make a model that does.

If you do care about aesthetics, I would recommend a Megalodon with their special 5V battery. I snagged one on the classies last week for $100. they are gorgeous looking, bottom switch though.

Depends on your budget and if you're wanting a tube. For backup duty in a regulated tube I get the Bolt or Indulgence then pick up a kick when it's back stock. With the Bolt and optional sleeve you'd have the ability to run it in 18350 or 18500 mode with the Kick.

No but with the kick it's regulated to where you set it.

I have grabbed a couple of those 4.8v batteries for the XL.
