Over the years I've smoked (15 years, at least a pack per day) I've collected a number of cool ashtrays, most of which are broken now. Last night when I M401 rolled off the coffee table and under the couch it hit me, use an ashtray to keep track of it! So now I have one of my favorite old ashtrays on the table, perfectly holding my 510 and M401. Plus I get to enjoy the designs on the bottom. In the past, they were just all covered up with ash, soot and butts.

Just another positive side effect of making the switch :D

That's actually a pretty good idea. Perhaps put filled carts in or around it so when you run low or want a different flavor just nab one of them sitting right there. I might start doing something like that...

If they're big ashtrays, you can also keep attys and/or carts in the bottom!

Not a very good idea if you have children or pets, imo....

great idea! i have some pretty big ashtrays in a big box in a closet, they would be perfect to perch my e-cigs on when not in use, and to keep bottles of juice handy!

[i don't have pets or children to worry about, i'm just a college student :p]

My ashtray is now a catnip tray for my cat  don't fret it was never used lol

My ashtrays that were used were stolen by neighbors. I even screwed it in outside and the guy STILL stole it. Seriously I got it at walmart for a dollar how hard is it to just freakin buy one???

Some people just can't keep their mitts off other people's stuff!

I don't have kids or pets and I'm finding it's working great for holding the cig plus a few carts, some paperclips, etc. I keep most of my gear in a tupperware container, and when I'm done I clean and pack everything away.

Now if I could figure out how to convert my zippo into a juice bottle holder I'd be really happy! :)

I love this idea! I have a zippo collection, accumulated over many years, some of them I still love - and now my brain is working overtime trying to figure out how to do this :)

An ashtray is a brilliant idea  to hold my e-cig when I set it down, to toss used carts into, to keep my opened paper clips and assorted ever-present do-dads in.... oh the things I've accumulated since I started vaping :)

I've been meaning to search my closet for an ashtray to use for this. For now 7 attys and 8 carts sit on my desk on a papertowel that gets changed every day or two.

But now the mention of the crystal ashtray above and seeing Remie comment has me thinking I need to find a blue glass ashtray to match the blue glass Halo bottles ;)

My wife had that second one, in a dark blue (probably midnight blue?) but I havne't seen it in years, probably since before we got married. blue is her favorite color and that would have been perfect.

Zippos will fit 4 carts/attys in the bottom and another wedged into the lid, but they're too small for a standard 510 battery. I just tested with mine, I think I'm gonna line it with padding and use it for just that!

Just had a thought: line the bottom of the Zippo with felt, and stuff Blue Foam in the top, with a channel hollowed out so you can stick the threaded end of an atty in to blow it out!
