Hello Mew!

If you want lots of vapor and don't mind losing taste, then the vegetable glycerin (VG) you have is what you want to use, and yes, it's thick!

If you like to have nicotine in your juice, you will need is unflavored nicotine juice. I use 60mg juice, and cut it down to 18mg with VG. If you buy highly concentrated nicotine juice, anything over 36mg, DO NOT VAPE IT STRAIGHT. Cut it down first.

You will also need concentrated flavoring. I've been using the Perfumer's Apprentice flavors. LorAnn, FlavourArt, and others are also popular. Look for a coffee flavor.

And finally, distilled water. You're right, VG is thick, and generally people use 10% ro 20% distilled water when working with VG-only juice, in order to thin it out so it doesn't gum up your atomizer.

The two places that sell DIY juice supplies that I have experience with are One Stop DIY Shop, and MyFreedomSmokes. I had a great experience with both of them, and you really can't go wrong.

Here's a quick and simple e-juice calculator you can use for your mixes.

Greetings Mew!

I use only VG because I too like the vapor and also the soft throat hit...and mild flavors are OK w/ me.

VG is thick, and thinning it makes it easier to handle...however, I use it straight w/ no problems (agree with you most of the time Mistress, but straight vg doesn't gum up atties).

Nicotine juice usually comes in 50/50 pg/vg, but you can specify all vg when you order. A good place to get ideas for recipes is in the E-Liquid Subforum here: E-liquid Recipes - E-Cigarette Forum

Good luck to you and welcome to ECF!

For coffee flavor I've tried a bunch and swear by Lorann Keoke Coffee.

My recipe is easy.
for 5ml:
4 to 9 drops of keoke.

Thats it! :D
I use a standard size dropper for a 30ml glass bottle. Not sure the actual volume unfortunately, so start it low and modify to taste. Four gives a nice flavor, 9 is a bit strong. Most days my sense of taste is great and six is perfect. If it isnt, I bump it up. A 30ml bottle will probably take you through most of the year.

I too like cutting with VG. PG leaves a terrible after taste like drinking antifreeze and burns my throat. A little experimenting until the right mix is found. I made this simple calculating program that help me find the right nicotine level. If you want it, it's free. Do a google search for "eJuice me up"

Mew,

Just a word of warning. Nicotine is a poison and should be handled with care. When mixing liquid nicotine, it's advisable to use latex gloves and avoid all skin contact. Wash immediately if you spill any on you.

Edit - Davegior. Thanks for the 'eJuice me up' info. Found it.

Hey Mistress. We mix our juice exactly the same way. 60mg down to 18 with VG and we even use the same calculator. I used straight VG (not diluted) for a long time with no atty issues but found it a bit messy to work with so I thin it with 5% distilled water. I put 38ml of VG and 2ml water in a 40ml bottle and shake it up. That's thin enough to work with for me.
