Alright, first. I am not a smoker. I tried smoking at the age of 14 and promptly quit before finding an addiction to nicotine.

The feeling of taking in and blowing out smoke, however, has stayed in my mind.

I bought some Blus for my father a while back and tried them. They satisfied my urge for that feeling.

I want to start with electronic cigarettes and would like to know places to find refills that do not contain nicotine. I'm looking for a habit, not an addiction.

I don't need to recharge on the go, as I won't be using them much outside my room. I don't need a case either, sliding the vaporizer in my pocket is easy and I don't need to carry extra carts.

Can anyone suggest a model and a filler supplier?

Most juice suppliers sell 0 (zero) nic options of their juices - some you have to choose a flavor first to get to a drop down menu with choices that contain it though.
If youre looking for cheap and not worried about recahring (presuming youa rent going to use it much) then a $35 (not inc shipping) nobox kit is probably a decent deal Joye 510 NO BOX

I wont go through all the 'you shouldn't start a habit that may become ingrained' stuff as it seems you've thought about this already and are over 21 :)

Well, I recomend the eGo. I had a couple before I got a 510, and the 510 is OK too. But, if you don't care if it is the actuall size of a cig, might as well go with something that won't need to be recharged every hour or so. As for juice, if you aren't particular about doing a little work, you can make your own with Glycerine from either Whole Foods or the drug store(very cheap), and get some loranns flavorings or Perfumers aprentice(or even cooking extracts) and make your own juice. I recomend the LorAnn's Keoke coffee, Very good! You can get a good price on extract directly from LorAnns, or strictlyejuice.com. And I recomend greenhouseone.com for the eGo as they have a 1 year warranty. Also, you might want to get some eGomega cartos. They hold more than twice the juice of a standard carto, and vape REALLY nicely.

To be honest, I've used the DSE801 penstyle, and now the eGo, both fit well in my pocket.

CaptJay is right, the 510 seems to be the cheapest route to go, and is pretty popular. Also that many sites have the 0 nic option. Some even have a VG/PG choice. You may enjoy, once you find your flavors you like, doing 80% PG/ 20% VG. Great vape and TH.

I can understand your urge to just want the habbit. A coworker who is deadset on getting the pink Joye 510's just likes the proccess of smoking, not the nicotine ;)

I thought about that for a second too until I saw 0nic. No more harm in vaping than say, breathing Los Angeles air for an extended period of time....Hey...wait a minute...I'm already doing that. And I think LA air is alot worse. lol

I looked up the eGo and penstyle. I dislike the look of each.

Glad to here most sellers offer an option! I seem to be leaning towards the Joye, but am looking around myself now.

As far as LED options go, automatic would be lighting up with you take a hit while manual would be pressing a button?

Then comes this weird issue I have with the mouth pieces.. The groves just irk me. No idea why.

Yes. Both are pretty much an indicator to determine whether your battery is dying or a cut off so that you dont overheat the battery/atomizer. With my DSE801, the blue led lights up when I'm inhaling and will flash green 16 times if I inhaled too long.

You know I thought the eGo looked ugly too in the pictures, and thought the penstyle looked huge. Pictures don't do much justice to the actual item :p

I'm not going to. In my comment I'm going to request they either send empty carts or just don't send it.

Thank you for your help!

I sugest buying some blank carts and gifting the ones that come with any kit, as normally they have nicotine. Not sure what suppliers give you the option of no nic, but most don't.

This supplier says to specify your tip preference in comments, so they should read my comment about wanting empty carts/no nicotine.

My order will be:
5 empty carts
1 cherry 6.5ml flavor
1 red LED 510
1 purple LED 510

All adds up to $44.50 + $5 shipping.

Anything wrong with that?

Can I use the empty carts multiple times?

Absolutely, some times they need tinkering though. Check here : Cartridge Mods - E-Cigarette Forum

If you re not a smoker and so then are not addicted to nicotine and all of the rest of the chemicals in cigarettes then why the e-cigs? You are better off finding something else to do with you time instead of inhaling PG/VG and flavors into your lungs. Be glad that you are not hooked and move on. I don't believe that anybody has said on this forum that e-cigs and vaping has been proven to be good for you. It is just better than smoking analogs.

A grown man can decide for himself what he wants to do. LA smog is worse for your lungs than PG/VG vapor.
