The opaque black cardboard box with gold-colored threads and silver lettering is rather pretty, it shows on the front; the stylized image of the device, the brand logo, and the words "asMODus Xeneo Kit" "Live With vape".
On the back they are listed; the main parameters of the kit, the content, useful addresses, social icons and scratch & check.

asMODus Xeneo 80W Kit; First impressions:
Xeneo is a kit with 510 thread, powered by a single 18650 battery for a maximum output of 80W. Xeneo uses a "mixed" MTL / RDL tank (steel and pctg) with a capacity of 3.5ml, in the kit there are two resistors; a Mesh for the RDL vape and a vertical-Coil for MTL.

For this test I received the kit in the "White" color version which is actually a chromatic combination of two colors; white / pearl and black / opaque. The mod is equipped with an "aesthetic adapter" in ABS for atomizers up to 25mm in diameter. The adapter is really well made, perfectly integrated into the Mod line and takes the same color of the screen, the buttons, the tank and the back of the frame.

asMODus Xeneo 80W Kit on the whole adopts a very sinuous and elegant design that turns out to be really ergonomic and pleasant to hold in the palm of the hand. Xeneo Kit in relation to its extremely compact dimensions seems rather heavy, this accentuates the impression of structural solidity that is obtained by using it.

AsMODus Xeneo 80W Kit is not a "very recent" product and the fact that little has been said about it on the web surprises me! I looked for news on the net, there are very few of them. This is strange, because Xeneo Kit with its beautiful design, seems to me really an entry level product worthy of attention!

AsMODus Xeneo 80W Mod; Front / back view:
The front is slightly concave in the center with a sort of "S" design, the screen follows this sinuous profile. The round-shaped Fire key is slightly protruding and has the asMODus logo imprinted on it. Below the screen are the "+ and -" adjustment buttons, protruding and made of plastic material (such as the Fire key).
In the rear part the "handle" is not covered by the usual imitation leather element but is naked and smooth elegantly integrated into the frame and emulates the cylindrical shape of the compartment / battery.

The dividing line between the black and white colors forms an "S", the white in the upper area embraces the back side while the black embraces the front side in the lower area. In the upper part the ABS adapter looks like a single piece while in reality it is removable. I noticed that with some tanks the conformation of this element can suffocate the air slots limiting the flow rate, however with a sponge spacer (spongebox) it is easy to solve this problem by finding the ideal position for a free passage of air.

AsMODus Xeneo 80W Kit; Cover & Thread 510:
As I previously announced the ABS cover can accommodate tanks up to 25mm in diameter, this accessory as well as being harmoniously well made can also contain any e-liquid leaks protecting the thread 510 from unwanted infiltrations inside the Mod. For remove the cover, simply unscrew and extract the tank. Under the cover, the frame is shaped to ensure a perfect compatibility fit for this accessory. The 510 cup remains slightly raised to protect the mod from scratches (in case of using tanks without the aesthetic cover).

AsMODus Xeneo 80W Mod; External 18650 cell:
On the bottom of the mod there is the USB Type-C charging socket with 5V / 1.5A speed, I remind you to use the charging function only for "emergencies", I always recommend using an external charger so as not to unnecessarily tire the chipset of any device with external cells.

To access the battery compartment, unscrew a steel cap equipped with a liftable handle. This item is a real work of art! The Cap in fact has the external regulation of the contact with the battery through a golden screw, this is something unusual on this type of device and is a pleasant surprise. The threads of the cap and of the mod are both excellently sliding, so replacing the cell is quite easy.

AsMODus Xeneo Tank:
This tank consists of a PCTG cartridge that can hold up to 3.5ml of e-liquid, the cartridge must be inserted in the steel base, the base is provided with a reference notch which must be aligned with another notch placed in the lower metal ring of the PCTG cartridge. Then you need to turn the pod clockwise to get the joint.
The Drip-tip is 510 type with two sealing orings. The air flow uses two elongated but rather low slots and to adjust them simply rotate the cartridge. Turning fully to the AFC closed position detaches the cartridge and must be reinserted.

AsMODus Xeneo Tank; refil:
The filling takes place in the lower part by means of the usual silicone plug. In the image below you can understand the type of "bayonet" joint between the pod and the base of the tank.
The coils are inserted from the bottom.

AsMODus Xeneo; Coil:
Included in the kit there are two resistors, one is suitable for MTL and it is a 1.1Ω vertical-coil with 10-15W Range. The other is a 0.4Ω Mesh-coil with 25-35W Range to be used in RDL / vape mode.

I did not like the Mesh-Coil at all, in a short time putting it under pressure tends to return rather dry puffs with a burnt aftertaste even with the minimum recommended power value (25W).

As for the 1.1Ω coil for MTL I am quite satisfied, it is not the best for aromatic yield but it behaves decently with a good steam production. Adjusting the AFC towards the maximum closing position gives a fairly tight shot with a good Hit.

AsMODus Xeneo; Alternative tanks:
Fortunately, it is possible to install any Tank 510 on the Mod Xeneo, with the only limit of 25mm (max) in diameter. Eventually you can also install larger tanks but you have to give up the aesthetic cover in ABS.

The color display screen contains all the information useful for vaping and the chipset offers the modes; Soft, Normal, Hard and the "Curve" mode with 5 different intervention points (W/S) selectable by the user for an accurately customized puff.

Operation Guide:
• Power On / Off: Press the Fire button 5 times.
• Selection of working mode: Press "+" and Fire together to change from VW to CURVE.
• VW mode: The Cut-Off intervenes after 10s, the power can be adjusted from 5 to 80W in steps of 1W at a time.
• VW mode: In POWER mode, press the "+" "-" button at the same time to select the desired delivery; HARD, NORMAL, SOFT.
• CURVE mode: Each point of the curve has two parameters; power and time, there are 5 memories that can be set in this mode. Press together "+" & "-" to set the CURVE parameters, then press "+" or "-" to set the value; Press "FIRE" to change the Duration / Power parameter, long press the "FIRE" button to confirm all parameters and to return to the work screen.
• Lock / unlock the "+" and "-" buttons: Press the "FIRE" button 2 times
• Mod lock / unlock system: Press the "FIRE" button three times.
• Battery installation: At power on a warning asks if the battery is good or damaged, select "yes" to continue.

Security Warnings:
• HIGH ATOMIZER: The resistance value of the atomizer is too high
• CHECK ATOMIZER: No atomizer detected
• LOW ATOMIZER: The atomizer resistance value is too low
• SHORT: Atomizer short circuit
• HIGH BATTERY: The battery voltage is too high
• CHECK BATTERY: The battery voltage is too low
• WORK OVERTIME: Time limit of 10s of the single Puff exceeded
• TOO HOT: High temperature
• NO FIRE: Vaping while charging

Final conclusions:
Summarizing my impressions during this test I start to describe what I liked least about this kit and I refer to the 0.4Ω coil which lasted very little and did not stand up to my "compulsive vape" mode proving too delicate. Too bad because it could have been the perfect resistance for this tank which, after all is not badly done.

As for the Mod I can say that I liked it a lot, it gives me a good feeling to the hand and I like it aesthetically.
Xeneo Mod is precise in indicating the resistances and offers a wide range of power and pre-hit adjustment, the puff delivery curve (W / S) and customizable on 5 points.

The DC-DC storage converter with an output voltage higher than the input allows Step-Up with a semi-discharged battery. Battery management is balanced and is on par with the best chipsets in this category.
