Hey all,

in a moment of weakness and nicotine withdrawal, I bought an Aspire Atlantic only to discover that it won't fire on my Provari because subohm.

The GOOD news is that I now have an excuse to buy a mechanical mod that *will* fire my expensive new toy. Can anyone recommend a mod for a first-time subohm vaper? I'm not in any rush, so I'm considering going to fasttech unless anyone wants to warn me off them.

Lastly, I've lost the o-ring seal for my much-loved nautilus. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? I've scavenged the seal from my Atlantis for the moment, but it would be nice if I didn't have to choose between them.

Love and kisses,

-- Bob.

You can get the official o-rings for your Nautilus here. As far as FT mech mods go, I don't think you can do much wrong picking from the 'classics' as I would call them, the Nemesis, the Stingray, the Fuhattan (or Manhattan), or the Cartel. Pick whatever one has aesthetics you appreciate, and read the reviews to make sure you're making a decent buy. They'll all hit hard as hell and reliably.

I hope you dont mind me chiming in here .. but if you really want to get the most out of that Atlantis..a mech wont get there in my opinion. It will get you started but I think you are going to find out rather quickly that it's efficiency will run out quickly. I would look for something capable of more sustained power..that being some kind of high watt capable box mod.. there are several out there that will do the job and I think you will find it to be a much better option with this tank system.. I have three and love them but they do require sustainable power to get them to really shine

just imo

Is the Atlantis 510 pin spring loaded? If so, make sure you stay away from mechs with hybrid top caps. The first time you try to fire it, the battery will push the pin up and hit the negative side of the connector. Hard short, no bueno.

It's not spring loaded.. And for a short time mine sat low enough to be used in my 4nine. But then, after sitting for hours untouched it shorted. The only reason I noticed is because the room smelled like the juice i had it filled with. All the juice, gone. Battery vented. luckily no explosions especially on a 4nine with no vent holes.
Can't stress this enough..... NO HYBRID TOPS for the Atlantis. First thing I did, even knowing it was gonna be hot was to untwist it and break the connection. Burning 4 fingers and 2 thumbs in the process.
I'd probably recommend a VV/VW that will fire it. I run it on my Smok BEC Pro

I ordered the Atlantis tank and the Sub-ohm battery, the combination is sweet, exactly what I'm looking for without worrying about mech mods and what not. I might go into rebuilding with this sub-ohm battery, I don't plan to go below .3 ohms so this battery will suit me fine.

I got the SXK Stingray X from Focalecig (They ship it from the US warehouse). Love it. Lots. I also have a Nemi clone that was from Fastech through a local shop, not bad at all however I'm waiting for the magnets for the switch to make it absolutely great.

I should warn against doing magnets in the fire button of the nemesis. Eventually they break apart. I have a Authentic copper Nemesis from Atmomixani and also a Tobeco Clone from a local shop here in Tampa Bay. I bought the magnets and put them in the copper nemesis clone and after about 1 week they were broken apart.

I was thinking the same, why a mech? You will get a lot more from the Atlantis and for a longer period if you go with a regulated box mod, I run mine on a ipv2 and it blows me away from the moment I pop a new battery in right through to the moment I take the battery out, every hit being strong, full of flavour and so much vapour I'm worried rain clouds are gonna form over my coffee table

Why do you feel you need a mech. If thats really what you want all the power to you, and I cant assist you much either. I am just wondering why your so dead set. Personally I own a slew of regulated box mods and I like em a lot better then mechs. You got some safety features (you still need to be smart cause things can go wrong,) your always getting the same hit no matter the battery, they come in a variety of wattage and you can go pretty high, you will have a screen displaying your ohm, volts, watts and battery life for the most part and they come in a bunch of sizes with varying looks and varying features. The Atlantis shines between 30-50 watts (I personally say 30-40 but I have been told I am wrong so lets go with 30-50) and it has a .5 ohm coil. Something along the lines of: IPV mini (or any IPV,) Sig 50, 100 or 150, M50, Clopour mini or a bunch of other options is what I personally say you look into. I really dont think you will be let down if you buy a Sig 100w Plus to power your new Atlantis and if you want something smaller the Sig 50 is really nice as is the IPV family.
