I started vaping to quit smoking (most of us do), but I am a mother and a caregiver to my husband who is a disabled Veteran, and I don't have time to build coils and drip and.... Y'all who do all of that amaze me. I just want to puff, exhale, and enjoy :)

So, the Aspire Atlantis interests me. Because, who doesn't want fun puffy clouds, good taste, and no hassle? I just ordered myself a Stingray X (Clone) this morning that will be running a Efest 18650 2500 Mah 35A battery. Will that be sufficient for the Atlantis?

If you're absolutely opposed to the concept of the Atlantis, please explain why! And remember, I've only been vaping for 7 weeks, so break it down Barney-style, please! :)

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

Your Stingray is a mechanical mod so I would not call it "no hassle". A mechanical mod has no safety features built in so there are things you will have to be aware of to vape safe.

The Atlantis is very new and so I have not yet heard about anyone who has 1st hand experience with it. I have read that it accepts sub-ohm coils (down to 0.5 ohms) so your 35A Efest battery (it's really only 20A) would be safe with coils that low.

Here's the low-down on your battery from Baditude (our resident battery/safety expert): Purple Efest Batteries not as Advertised

I had just recently read that about the Efest batteries. What the heck? And why are they so popular, if they are so deceptive?

I've actually only ever vaped on a mech mod, believe it or not (I have no idea why I skipped the pen style like most newbies start with!). My first (and current) is a K-100, so it doesn't really scare me at all, since it's all I've known up until this point.

The only thing I knew for sure was that I wanted to stay away from the ugly boxes :p

Atlantis is great, but the tank is too small if you chain vape. Fasttech has 5 pack coils for $6.

I use it on Sig100 and my friend on his IPV2 with no issue. You could use it on mech mod, but there is no power regulation, so as the battery loses its charge, then atlantis will give you less vape as well, just like an RDA.

Its a great tank if you dont want to build coils and still get a nice big lung hits or just blow big clouds.

If you do use it on mech mod, then the tank can NOT make direct contact with the battery, or you will kill the battery as soon as you fire it. Stingray X in this case will work, as it has a separate metallic plate between the battery and the 510 connection on the tank it self.

Fasttech already has none branded Atlantis tank for $17.

Could you explain more about this please? Yesterday I bought a mod which has magnetic button & the top tank end is exposed to battery, so it does make direct contact to Atlantis. It seems to be working just fine & I used it all day. I noticed vape production seems higher, but otherwise battery seems to perform about the same lifetime.
