Aspire bdc ohm drops from 1.8 to 1.6

I've been using this coil head for a bout 2 weeks. A couple days ago the coil head read 1.8 on my ohms meter on the MVP2.
Now its reading 1.5ohms.

Does anyone have an explaination for this?

I've been pulling the connection on the head a little bit with a toothpick because it was recessed too far in to make a connection.
(a common problem on the bdc heads)

Its also been tasting worse at the same wattages that I used to have before the ohm drop. about 8.5 watts

It's aging out and it's gonna do that. The coil wire doesn't last forever and resistance can drop as it plain wears out. It's tasting harsh because you pumping the same amount of watts in what is now a lower resistance coil that is getting hotter, faster at the same watts. Drop the wattage to compensate but I'm not betting that coil is going to last much longer.

as far as I know, wattage is like output power.. which means that my device should be putting in less voltage for the same wattage output to compensate for the resistance drop

does it just mean that the coil is wearing out and not performing as well?

Thanks yeah, I have plenty more available, but I'm just curious why the resistance drops over use...

it's running out of electons, think quantum theory.

Maybe the e-juice gunk on the coil is conducting electricity. Try a rinse and dry burn. If that doesn't help, it'll probably blow the coil. Either way, it will be stabilized.

I've already cleaned it out twice and I hate how the bdc heads are much harder to clean than the kanger heads. Anyways, I guess I finally know exactly what it tastes like when these guys die out, even after cleaning.
