Aspire BDC Vivi Nova Pyrex Degradation

I've only owned this product for about 3 weeks. vape wise its excellent all round but the problem I have is with the outside of the tube, as shown by the photo (sorry about image size, not sure how to reduce):

As you can see the rubber finish is wearing off pretty badly at the top and its also starting to happen a bit at the bottom round the other side. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? This tank only cost me £7 and the quality is obviously not up to scratch, honestly I'd rather it was a bit dearer and made to last. I haven't been spilling loads of eliquid on it (although frankly it should be designed to cope with that to an extent) or abusing it in any other way.

As it actually performs so well I'd like to get a replacement tube, I notice they do a stainless steal version:

I just wanted to make sure this is actually a proper lining of stainless steal over the pyrex and not some cheap finish that's likely to wear off after a week? I know it looks obvious from the picture but don't want to waste more money, I'll have to buy the whole tank as I don't think they sell the tubes separately.

Also, is it true that Vison Vivi Nova tubes will fit the Aspire model? I could get a metal one of these but I don't think they have viewing windows.

I have a black and stainless Aspire VN S and also have the coating peeling off. The stainless ones don't have the coating. I also have several ET-S with the same and colours that have not peeled. yet...

Sounds like how certain color coatings wear off of ego batteries. Blue has never been a good color. My blue spinner started peeling after a week. My blacks still look good as new.

I have a Spinner as well and it barely has a mark on it after 3 months, the coating on the Spinner just looks thicker and better quality than the Aspire BDC.

I think I will scrap off the coating on the black one. Lacking playdough I think I will make a dough and roll the tank across it, to make a template for a wrap.

Unless someone knows of a template?

i wish they made the BDC without any wrap around it so you can actually see through the windows when filling. i have one of the SS models and 30s that have the SS tips, they were getting too hot to vape from when chain vaping, and i'm allergic to anything other than sterling silver, so i got some shrink tube out of the garage and low and behold a nice rubber (no taste) coating for the tips. worked perfect.

My wife had a problem too and we got soft covers from Desert Vapes. Cheap by the bag.

I too wonder if dark colors have something to do with it or a reaction to juice spillage? Sorry about the peeling

I've been ordering the stainless, just because it goes with everything.
