After getting a ton of headaches with the Kayfun and Vivi Nova it was time to move on. Headed down to the local vape shop today and checked out the new tanks they had. I knew I wanted either a Kanger Pro-tank Mini or Iclear 30B. Well I acquired totally something different, the Aspire ET-S BDC glass clearomizer for $11.99. Funny how that works when you know what you want and walk out with something else lol! Anyhow lets get to the review!

First Impressions:

Glass tank with a metal shield! Durable and a better flavor production.bI am able to use any type of juice I want without having to worry about the tank melting. The coil construction is very unique and the o-rings are the best I've seen so far! The finish is excellent and the mouth piece has a wide bore! The tip is not changeable so you will have to get use to that. Two small air holes so it may have a tight draw.

Initial use:

I was so excited to use this tank right away! Just by looking at it I don't regret my purchase at all. It is a dual bottom coil so you will fill from the bottom. I elected to use some MadVapes Butterscotch 11mg in this tank. It is a flavor I've been using in all other tanks and I wanted to compare the taste. I decided to use my Smok Sid with the Aspire first. I took a draw and wow, I can not describe the flavor and how warm the vape was! Compared to all my other tanks the Aspire rocks in the flavor department. It creates a smooth flavor and you really don't get that strong tingly nic taste at all. It puts out a very comparable taste to my Kayfun! The glass compared to the usual polycarbonate tanks makes a huge difference. The coil comes in at 1.8ohms and I took it to 15watts with no burnt taste at all. The Aspire gives you a very warm draw compared to other tanks I've tried ( Innoken 30b, Evod, Iclear 16 & 16b, Smok GBC, Vivi Nova, and Smok Nbc). Now being able to sub ohm on the Kayfun you won't get a hot draw like that, but what you get is outstanding for a non-rebuildable tank. The draw is not to airy or tight and it's perfect IMO. It kinda draws like a 16b but much more airy with excellent throat hit. For vapor production it chucks out a decent amount, probably very comparable to a ViVi Nova. I did encounter a slight gurgle issue due to filling all the way to the top of the inner cylinder. However I just blew out the extra and it went away. So make sure you don't get even with that cylinder and just back off a tad. The Aspire does not leak and it's nice not having that annoyance. The threads are super smooth and it looks great on any apv! Also it is not a juice hog like the Vivi so don't let the size of the tank fool you. I am truely happy with this clearomizer and I will definitely buy more products from Aspire. They did a great job on the ET-S and it is the best clearomizer I have vaped to date!

Pros:
Flavor
Glass with metal shield
Dual bottom coils
Warm vape
No leakage
No burnt hits
Durable
Smooth threads
Great finish
O-ring durability
Bottom fill
Comfortable tip
Wide bore tip
Not a tight draw
Design
Coils
No juice to mouth

Cons:
Only thing I can think of is the price of new coils, a little expensive compared to others.

Personnel preference:
Removable drip tip

I bought 3 of these tanks a couple weeks ago and couldn't use them due to a horrible burnt rubber taste. These are genuine, not knock-offs, 1.8ohm coils. After trying two that tasted that way fresh out of the wrapper, I gave them a good washing, let them dry and tried again. Still taste funky. I love the look of them, and the sturdiness, but man they taste bad. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a priming issue. Did you let them sit a while after putting your e-liquid in them? I usually let mine sit for at least 30 minutes after I fill them. I've heard putting a few drops on the coil before you close it up helps speed things along.

I would try this as well. The coil system is surrounded by a metal sleeve with two small holes. Designed with carto in mind. I would give it another shot, the only time I had a burnt taste is when I came really low on juice. Let us know it works!

I have two of these tanks and love them. I drilled out the bottom air holes to the next size larger for better airflow. If one decides to do this it's best to remove the coil so you don't ruin it while drilling.

I may have to do this. Does it still create a flavorful and warm vape?

I don't remember how long I let it sit, typically I give them (my other, Evod tanks) at least ten minutes. I didn't put any drops on the coil though. I will try that and let them sit awhile longer before using. Thanks!

When I used them I found the draw (airflow) to be a bit tight. If you are not experiencing this with the stock holes I wouldn't change a thing. If you do decide to drill it out though remember to only go up to the next size drill bit. I would also recommend just drilling one hole first, then testing it to see how you like it. If you think you want a bit more airflow, just drill the second hole out.

I have two ETS tanks. In one I drilled both holes out to the next size and in the other I drilled it over twice but only one hole. Meaning I used the second larger drill bit to the stock hole. I know I might not be making much sense but I'm not good with what size drill bit I'm using. I'm a eyeballer LOL.

Drilling them out makes neither flavor better or a warmer vape. If anything you may experience a decrease in flavor. Not saying this was my case when I did it. I just know when you increase airflow flavor sometimes decreases a little. Like I mentioned earlier, for me the draw was just way too tight.

Sorry for the excessive ramble there.

Just my thinking on this, look at the hole in the bottom pin. That determines how much air goes through. Drilling the base may give more air flow but no more than the pin hole will allow. Also since the tank is based on vacuum holding back the liquid, and your draw on the tip overcoming that vacuum, increasing the flow may cause flooding. Maybe those stock holes are engineered to control the flow.

The coil on the Aspire ET-S BDC needs to be primed before using. Remove the base of the unit (with the coil inside) and let it sit upright. Place 1 drop of liquid (juice) into the hole and tap the base a couple times until the liquid settles in. If you used a needle or needle sized drop, you may need to add 1 more and tap again until it settles. Then you fill the tank, put the bottom back on and roll the tank around a bit and you're good to go.

I have 3 of these tanks and love them - No overly airy draw, I feel the pyrex is well protected and I get a nice, warm smooth vape on 1.8 coils. The only drawback (for me) is that it is difficult to see the liquid through the side cutouts surrounding the glass, but that could just be my eyes.
