Aspire Nautilus Blocked Air Holes?

Hello everyone,

I have two Aspire nautilus'. I noticed the airflow has been bad on the newer one lately. I set it to the largest air hole and looked inside. It seems that there is metal blocking the hole. On the older model if I dissemble it, I can stick a paperclip through the air hole and see it pop out in the center. The new seems to have a metal ring blocking it. I think this is due to me dropping it. Has anyone run across this? I have tried sticking a small screwdriver into the hole and moving the ring, but it won't budge. Thanks for the help.

When was the last time you thoroughly cleaned the airflow chamber in the base?
If the airflow control ring is stuck / misaligned & blocked you'll have to free it up & align it so it works or remove it if you always use the largest hole.

I haven't cleaned it thoroughly for several weeks. How can I free it up? It seems to very very jammed. I was working at it pretty hard with a small screwdriver through the airhole. It won't budge.
