Aspire Nautilus BVC doesn't last??

Hello everyone,

Just seems like my coils aren't lasting that long, about 5 days. The flavor will go out on them and it's not the juice. I do chain vape to the point that the tank gets pretty hot. I smoke 50/50 juice... I smoke about 3.5ml a day... Also is there any way of cleaning or dry burning these?

EDIT - Before trying any dry burning on the BVC heads, be aware that the filler material may be cotton based - more like a carto batting and you may scorch or burn it and render the head useless. Dry burning works with silica material and may be better used with the BDC not the BVC

Cleaning and dry burning yes.

Every couple of refills, just give the whole tank and coil assembly a good rinse under hot water. When you notice the flavor dropping off, do the dry burn.

There are hundreds of videos on youtube about how to complete a dry burn.

My main advice would be to make sure you pulse the fire button on your APV to make sure you limit the possibility of scorching any insulators or o-rings. Also, make sure you do a final rinse under hot running water before reassembly after a dry burn to get rid of any left-over gunk.

Forgot to say welcome to the forum. You've found a great resource for all things vaping related. Pull up a chair, you might make a few friends too. :vapor:

Welcome Max Bergman to ECF. I get 2 weeks on vaping the 1.8 ohm BVC. For cleaning I soak it in Evereclear for a few hours then rinse under warm water and let it dry out for a day or 2.

I use a higer VG ratio and mainly vape clear liquids....and vaping at 11 watts.

Have a couple spare coils so you can rotate them for cleaning and drying.

Good Luck to You!!!

the filler is ceramic. dry burning won't hurt it. getting the burnt taste out afterwords is the pain. I soaked in everclear. I found a juice company the other night though, Fuzion vapor, that makes a flavor eraser. don't know if it works but I'll eventually try it. they say just put several drops in and blow it out a few minutes later. I get between 2-3 weeks from a BVC, vaping high PG juice which is relatively light in color. I have several so each one gets its own juice, that I keep through the life of the coil (or something similar in flavor). I don't clean them at all during their life span. I did soak a few in alcohol after they dies, but haven't reused then yet, so I don't know how that is going to work out.

5 days?

That's a little under what many are getting. However... i.m.o. 5 days is good enough for the money and better to get a fresh taste and a fresh (cleaner) atomizer.

You vape a little more than me, so if I was using your liquids, I guess I'd get a week. That, to me, sounds brilliant compared to what else is out there (not including rebuildable RBAs which long term pay for themselves).

In the UK, one coil is $3 approx. 40 or 50 cents a day.... that is the price in Europe of ONE cigarette.
