Hi there, Michigan!
I use Nautilus' and try to get 30ml of juice through one brand new coil. Depending on juice, doesn't always work that way. Juice from ProVape usually makes it while juice from Johnson Creek usually doesn't and I put a coil I cleaned about 20ml into a 30ml bottle in it.
Cleaning those little suckers doesn't always work either. I soak them in Everclear for 12 hrs and then Efferdent for one hour. Then I dry burn until I can see the coils turn orange and scrap the crud off with a paper clip. I rinse the burn taste out buy running extremely hot tap water (holding with needle nose) for 30 seconds. I then dry for at least 24 hours before putting away for later use at which time I use them for the remains of a 30ml bottle that didn't make it all the way with a brand new one.
Take heart! All this may not matter soon as Aspire as come out with new coils which are basically miniature cartos. They are single, vertical coils which, hopefully, will work a lot better. Yes, they will work with our old Nautilus' and are available with the new tanks or on the Aspire website for a costly $20 for a 5 pack. Hopefully, by the time I get through the 30 or so semi crappy dual coil ones I have now, vendors will have them and they will be more affordable.
PBusardo is currently using them for a future video review and has pics on his website. Demitri has a video review of them.
In the meantime, when I fire one up for the first time, I start out at 3.7 volts (ProVari) and go up or down from there. Final voltage, depending on juice and how much I've used, can be anywhere from 3.3 volts to 4.8, give or take...
Also, SOMETIMES depending on juice, if I've used it enough for crud to start building up and I'm losing vapor, I'll crank it for a few puffs at 4.6 or higher and that will SOMETIMES burn the crud off and it recovers.
I'd say 3 in one month is actually pretty good...
