Aspire Nautilus Mini Overrated?

I've had one of these for a few weeks now and i'm pretty diappointed in it. I usually use Kanger tanks (Aero and Aero V2). It seems like the nautilus Mini really mutes the flavor of everything and also seems way too airy even on the lowest air flow setting. I'm using an MVP with 1.8 coils.. Any one have any tips or advice to get a better vape out of this thing?

hmmm... Honestly I am an Aspire Fanboy, but I dont care for the mini, never have. I prefer my full sized Nautilus, wide open for vapor, closed off for more flavor.

I used kanger aero tanks in all sizes and protanks for a year on ego's, provari, and then istick. Once I got the nautilus it was a brand new vape, it's bliss compared to kanger for me. The BVC coils do like more power so vaping at the same wattage would give you less than optimal performance. Aspire all the way here.

I used to love the mini, before I found rebuildables. Preferred it to my Aerotanks. That said and given the release of the Atlantis, I'll agree with the statement that, "the Nautilus Mini is overrated." The flavor and vapor on the Atlantis is SO far superior I wouldn't recommend a Nautilus OR Aerotank to anyone I care about

I'm actually the opposite...I feel Kanger is a little overrated and love my Nauti. In Kanger's defense i haven't tried a Kanger product since I got my Nauti, the last Kanger product i used was a PT3 with the aero base

I have both the mini and full size and I am very happy with them, and use them everyday. Maybe you have a defective one. It sounds very weird that the smallest air hole would be to airy.

I don't know if you are talking about the Aspire BVC or not but muted flavor compared the Aero it should not be.Are you properly priming ?

As soon as Aspire started making the Nautilis and BVC coils, they are the only replacable coil tank I use. I dumped every last bit of Kanger stuff I had. Never got along well with Kanger stuff. Not to mention the Atlantis is fantastic IMO. But I can see that if you enjoy a tighter draw, Aspire may not be for you.

Sounds like you may have a defective or fake Nautilus, the smallest air hole makes for a very tight draw IMO.
Considering the MVP has an 11w max it may not have a sufficient power range to find your sweet spots.
I vape mine between 11 ~ 15.5w using 50/50 juices.

You have to be patient and change the voltage until you're comfortable with the vape your getting. I vape at 5.9 amps (in mean mode) and I'm happy with it. Some people are happy with much higher wattages like 8 or 10 or higher. You just have to find your happy medium. Just keep playing around with that little firing button and before you know it, you will be loving the taste. It might change sometimes also with whatever juices your using because depending on your juice (dark, light, PG/VG ratio, etc..) may change the way you set it.

I am keeping one nautilus as a back up... errrrthang else is Atlantis all day errrrrday... I have 40 coils, 4 tanks and one tank extension on the way in the mail.

I use the atlantis with a skinny drip tip on the small air hole and get nice mouth to lung. But when I am outside its wide open, large bore tip and throwing clouds son!

Im getting some horned rim glasses, a wool hat, a t-shirt with bacon on it, skinny jeans, chuck taylors and sleeve tattoos... blowing clouds like a hipster wierdo!!!

I guess everyone is different. I think the Nautilus and Nautilus mini aren't airy enough, need about 100% more airflow to make me happy.

Yeah sounds weird to me too, the lowest setting on the Nauti is like a pinhole, reminds me of the stock IGO-L.

I have a nautilus mini as my back up now. Ever since getting into rebuildables and using my magma I don't think I'll ever go back as I enjoy tinkering and trying new builds to get more flavor.

2 N minis fired at 8 watts are my main tanks relaxing at home and at my work bench at work. I recommend them to beginners because I know them. I like them for my own use because they are not so intense.

1 ohm coils from Fasttech for my Atlantis tank are in the Chicago sort facility. In two days they will probably be on my front porch. My hope is they will give me a good vape on the Atlantis at 10 watts regulated. Then I'd have both low and high power options plus everything else I like about the Atlantis geometry in one tank. Time will tell. Most of the time I don't want more vapor than 8-10 watts produces and if i'm out and about 25 watt hits on a less efficient sub ohm coil might run me out of power before I get back to home base.

I've had 4 aspire minis since they came out (I have a problem with losing these things). They aren't bad, but they arent WOW or anything either. Its my go to everyday tank, gets the job done.

My friend had a nautilus clone. It was airy burnt garbage. he thought it was a genuine version. It looked darn close to the real thing except the air adjustment ring was different and the ring would move very easily. I gave him a real nautilus for the holidays. He called me the next day asking me where he should buy more of them.
