My only reason for trying it was bc I get tired of messing with cartos all the time, I wanted the convenience of a clearo and flavor and lack of burnt taste like a carto. I really hope this thing stays consistent bc if I'm as impressed in a few days as I am right now with it, my life will get a little easier lol.

I just went back to a carto tank after taking a break for like 8 months (provape was selling them for 5$ so i figured it was worth it).. damn I wish I switched back sooner! Other than the annoyingly loud sound of the carto crack-a-lacking.. the vapor production/ flavor is amazing!

I haven't used the Aspire tanks yet but I hear great things.. worth getting it but as others have said most vendors sell the replacement heads at very high prices (hopefully in the next few months they will go down a bit which almost always happens)

I just wish they made a smaller sized Nautilus (I know about the bdc but I believe those are ego threaded? correct me if I'm wrong) I just think the Nautilus is just WAY too big and looks dumb on my provari mini

Not at all. It is a very large tank, but all of my mods are 350 sized and it's bigger than normal, but not ugly by any means. And I agree, I do hope the price of the heads comes down, but I have heard (don't know if it's true yet or not) by a lot of people they last longer than normal and they come with two so IF everyone is correct, I have a little while before I need to buy more. Oh and they are 510 threaded, not ego.

The aspire BDC is an ok tank at home but it is really susceptible to temp changes causing flooding. Like direct sun in cup holder or in shirt pocket. The nautilus is a bit big but I don't have to carry juice. The upside to that air regulator is any floods just leak into it and not all over everywhere. I did have one flood with the nautilus but that was after being in my cup holder for about 15 mins on the highway in direct sun. It looks great on full size mods.

I guess I baby my stuff lol. Idk why but I don't ever put mine in the cup holder unless something is blocking the sun, I've gone as far as to put a paper towel over them lol. I'm also lucky enough to be able to carry a purse, I have a purse especially for my mods,it's tall enough but small enough that I only carry them and my wallet so they are never in my pocket. I wouldn't suggest that for you though lol.

My review, Day 2!

I put my stronger banana flavor in the tank, I figured if I'm going to notice a big difference in flavor, I needed to put a stronger flavor in the tank! So, at first I thought 'maybe it does mute the flavor, but it's not a HUGE difference' but then I got back home, (was at the Dr. ALL day) I put the carto tank on my mod that has the same flavor in it, and it tastes pretty much identical! I am really surprised at how much I like this tank! My hubs keeps asking 'so, how is it?' and I tell him 'I'm scared to say it b/c I don't wanna jinx it!' lol. So far, and I've got 4 mods that I have going at all times, I've used only the Nautilus and still have not gotten a burnt, metal or dry taste *KNOCK ON WOOD* (that was me knock REALLY hard b/c I don't want anything to change lol). I know I said it yesterday, but I am truly impressed with how well this thing works so far!

Well it's been a few more days now and I am still as in love with this tank as I was in that first hour. I actually went ahead and bought another one from a member who was selling it here (just got it today). My hubs told me I needed to wait at least a week before I did that, to make sure the shoe doesn't drop and then I've bought more than just the one, but I am pretty darn confident that this not so little tank is a game changer for me. The first day I had it, I changed my flavors like 4 times in an hour lol. What impressed me even more was the fact that when I changed flavor, the old flavor didn't linger like I expected, even with the strong banana flavor I tried in it. I'm still constantly comparing it with the same juices in carto tanks to see how the flavor differs and I haven't noticed a difference which truly amazes me. I am actually considering retiring my carto tanks, this tank is just so much easier to use and maintain. The next test is to see how long the heads will last! I know some people complained about the head that came in the tank, but I haven't had any issues with it on either of the tanks. I'll be ecstatic if I can get more than a week out of the heads b/c some of my cartos don't even last that long lol.

I tried a Nautilus, even at its best id still prefer the carto tank

Same for me.

Cartotanks have been my primary juice delivery device for over 1 1/2 years. Still use them daily, however my best juice gets put in my single KFL+.

I've never owned an Aspire Nautilis, but I have vaped my buddie's a couple of times. He likes it and I did, too, in limited use. He's now using a KFL+ and Russian 91 exclusively.

Couldnt agree more, although i spread my favourite juices between my sofia and carto tanks, i would use the KFL more but i am useless at building coils, although a mate has kindly put a coil with some cotton wick on it for me so that may well make me get practicing!

This may have already been said in the thread, but the pre-made coils in the nautilus seem to be its downfall. I get a decent vape from mine at the start, but then it becomes a burnt metallic type taste, and apparently this is quite common as is flooding (it's nothing to do with me having the voltage / wattage to high by the way).

When people put their own coils in the heads with cotton wick then this seems to transform the nautilus. I only bought it because of the convenience of not having to build coils, so its a bit self-defeating for me to start doing that, and if i am to start making my own coils regularly then they will be for the KFL and the Sofia.

Reading this, i hope it's just that some of the coils are a bit duff as it does give a decent vape some of the time. When i bought mine it came with 2 heads and i bought an extra 10. I've only used 2 or 3 so far, so maybe (hopefully) ive just been unlucky.

I'm not into rebuilding (yet lol) so for me it works just like I hoped it would. Idk if anyone would remember, but when I first started I had a really hard time with it. I was finding that I'm sensitive to metals, I couldn't find anything, especially a clearo, that would give me even a decent vape. The first month for me was so hard and it didn't even have anything to do with quitting, it was issues I was having with all of my vape gear. There was a lot of people who told me that if they went through half of what I went through in the first few weeks, they would have given up, but I was/am determined to make this work.

To this day I've still only meet one person who has the same metal issue that I have, I've heard of one other person, so it was one of those weird things where if there's a .0000001% chance of a negative effect, I had it! It's about that way in other aspects of my life as well lol. So for me, I've only ever been able to use cartos and for normal people, that would probably be ok, but at only 25 years old I found out I have Fibromyalgia, 2 fractures and a tear in my spine and arthritis in my knees, wrists and ankles! So sitting around a table, or even on my bed, trying to deal with a carto may not seem like a big deal to most, but for me it's painful, VERY painful! Needless to say, I am a tad more excited than the average person that this tank is actually working for me lol.

Anyway, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it as much as I do. I did see the issues people were having with the installed head (mine came with 2 as well) and just hoped it wasn't an issue for me and I guess for once, I lucked out.

PS If you ever wanna sell that stuff, let me know ;) lol

I bought a Nautilus and an Aerotank for my VTR. Unless I am doing something terribly wrong I find the Aerotank a superior tank by far. The problem with the Aerotank has always been air volume/speed intake, the Aerotank just plain knocks it out of the park. I don't think the Nautilus draws any more are than a Davide Anyvape. I am going by aligning the intake holes on the adjustment ring, I assume when the two stack that's maximum airflow? Regardless I have spun it CCW &CC, the Nautilus just doesn't pull as much air as the Aerotank which I think if it holds up may keep me from buying a Russian clone.

I hated the Aerotank. I haven't found a Kanger tank that I can use without either a metal taste, burnt or dry hits. Idk why the Nautilus works so well for me, but I really like it. I don't need clouds or anything like that and I don't like feeling like I'm vaping air (which is why I use either the smallest or second smallest air hole) so it works out fine for me. It produces as much vapor and flavor as my cartos do without any of the hassles!

I hope this doesn't sound condescending but these things are just a machine. There are just a few aspects to the "perfect vape". The tank is about vacuum to hold the juice in place, wicking to get fluid to the coils at the same rate it is being vaporized, heat to do the vaporizing, air exchange to create a pressure difference and overcome the vacuum and allow fluid to soak the wick.

All that was said to explain every device goes about solving the vape nirvana search in a different manner. The Kanger tanks typical don't flood but require "primer pulls" before firing to wet the wicks. Aspire products rarely have dry hits but are weak to floods. This comes down to vacuum. Also the aspire tanks seem to do better on higher end regulated mods.

Weather variances like barometric pressure and relative humidity and ambient temperature also effect vaporizing rate, coil warm up time, and vacuum ability to hold fluid. So all in all there is no setting or tank or juice that individually solves the perfect vape search. Trial and error learning the device and paying attention to the mechanical aspects of the process will lead to mastering the solutions to any of the issues that come up.

I completely agree with you on this, it's different for everyone and just as you said, I live in Texas, it's hot and humid so what works for me, may not work for others. That's why in my last post I stated that I am in no way trying to say this tank is superior to any other tank or that anyone should drop what they're doing and go buy one for themselves, that I am only telling my story. As I said, there was a lot of members that stuck with me for the better part of a month, trying to help me figure out something that would work b/c I was having such a hard time. This thread is just me telling of my journey, it started with advise and opinions from others and is now just a review and update. Would it be nice to help someone else along the way, of course, it's always nice to help someone else, but this really isn't just about the tank itself.
