I would recommend holding in your hit for about a second or two before blowing it out. I noticed that if I am not being satisfied and I hold in my hit it really helps a lot. Hope that helps! (assuming you don't do that already....)

I do, I still vape like I used to smoke so I hold it, in fact the guys at my local shop tell me I vape like I'm smoking weed lol.

HAHA! Well I hit mine like a normal cig, mouth to lung. I guess you just have to up the nic level. I also noticed if I am not being satisfied I turn up the voltage/wattage and then that does the trick (but I am sure you do this as well....)

The Nautilus vapes a 50/50 mix on a 1.6ohm rated head (tested at 1.7) at really low voltage. For me at the minimum on a vision spinner. Where the Aspire BDC needs a touch more voltage to get a thick vape. Also the Nautilus produces a much lower temp vape than the aspire BDC. The Kanger pt3 produces a good thick vape but I found it to be very much a fiddlers tank. Out of full day of use the PT3 had two to four floods or dry hits that were easily corrected. The Aspire BDC will flood quickly in direct sun (like in your car cup holder). By quickly I mean less than a minute. The Aspire Nautilus rarely ever floods or gurgles. The Nautilus is a fill and forget tank. The down side for me is a like the warmer vape of the BDC. Turning up the voltage just resulted in a burnt taste.

I used the Boge/Phiniac tank combo for about 2 yrs. Even though I got sick and tired of the whole fussy process of having to change out the carto when it hit a burnt taste ... anywhere from two days to 2 wks ... not to even MENTION having to change out those dang O-rings ... I didn't think there was anything better.

THEN I tried the Nautilus and kissed the carto/tanks goodbye for good! YMMV.

I started with clearos, and was a huge fan of bottom coil clearos, UNTIL I got into carto tanks. At Badittude's recommendation, I ordered an IBTanked carto tank, and quickly bought another. For months, carto tanks became my preference. Easy to setup, dependable, good flavor, good vapor, etc.

About 2 months ago, I finally got a kayfun lite clone. That ruined carto tanks for me. In fact, the kayfun was so amazing, that I ordered an Igo-W5 dual coil dripping afterwards....and now I can't vape ANYTHING besides RDAs and RBAs.

With adjustable airflow, the Nautilus is at the top of the clearomizer food chain. It would be a difficult task to find a better clearo.

I would go ahead and order the Nautilus if I were you. I don't see any reason why you can't use the Nautilus, AND carto tanks. Afterall, I still occasionally use my IBTanked carto tanks.

Boy does that sound familiar. Pretty much same story for me. However, I still use my Nautilus and IBTanked cartos. I would tend to agree that the Nautilus is the best clearomizer I've used. Only issue is the cost of the coils and I haven't tried rebuilding yet. I'm pretty much tired of buying cartos and coils and much prefer Kayfun and building my own coils.

I'd LOVE if this could be my story lol.

Well I pulled the trigger and bought one. I hope I like it bc I really don't like spending money on things I won't/can't use.

I guess I am the last samurai on the block. I'm the only one left at the store who hasn't switched to drippers or a KFL. Man. If Bad's switched........ I guess..... well, dammit. I guess I have to, too, now.

But all of my juice..... and I have a LOT of juice..... is 2.4. How am I gonna get through all of it? I'd have to build a two ohm coil on the Kayfun, and then at that point, what's the point?

Hrm.

Cartotanks have been my primary juice delivery device for over 1 1/2 years. Still use them daily, however my best juice gets put in my single KFL+.

I've never owned an Aspire Nautilis, but I have vaped my buddie's a couple of times. He likes it and I did, too, in limited use. He's now using a KFL+ and Russian 91 exclusively.

I have tried several clearo's over the years and always went back to crto/carto tanks because of the inconsistancy of the clearo's. I just recently tried and Aspire Nautilus and ordered 2 more. So far they have been as consistant as the carto's, easier to fill with less fiddling, and so far the coils seem to be holding up quite well. I have managed to rebuild the coil a couple times with pretty good results too, but it's great for a fill and go device.

Edit: Oh, and I have a Kayfun Lite Plus for those times that I am in the mood to fiddle with building, and I would add that the Nautilus is right up there with the KFL+ in consistancy.

If I were you you I'd head over to the Clearomizers forum: Clearomizers

I exclusively use Carto Tanks and was also tempted by the Nautilus hype. If you check out the Nautilus threads it appears that, as with all clearos, some people seem to have good results and some have bad results and the same problems persists...funky taste, bad coils, gurgling and flooding.

I stick with my cartos...thank you very much. ;-)

I am an electrical engineer and have torn down a Kanger Pt3, an Aspire BDC, and a Nautilus. All three have the same inherent issue. The o-ring at the bottom of the head gets dry and grabs the wire legs of the coils allowing a gap to form equating flooding. Also I noticed the pin that go through the oring was very unstable on the tank I purchased from the B&M I am assuming due to someone fiddling with the tank before I bought it. Anyway very simple remedy is to fully disassemble the tank when you get it. Familiarize yourself with the tank then reassemble using a dab of e-juice on a cotton swab to lube the oring on the head before installing it in the lower deck. Since I have been lubing the orings none of my tanks flood. I also pull just as hard on the vape as I did the analogs and still no flooding.

After jumping in and buying every new, fancy, shiny thing to hit the vape market for a while, I had to reign it in and found myself with a box of stuff that was lacking in one way or another. I had a really hard time convincing myself to spend that much to get the Nautilus until this week when I gave in, found the best deal that I could on it, and went for it. Holy freakin CRAP!!! People, if you haven't gotten one of these bad boys, YOU MUST!! This thing holds a full 5ml, is extremely well built out of all stainless and pyrex and MAN does it hit nicely!!! It's with very good reason that it's getting such raving reviews from all the most subscribed reviewers as well as us "peons" here on ECF!! easily the closest in flavor and vapor production as I've found to cartos or even dripping and with ZERO hassle....5mls worth of nonstop WICKEDNESS!! With it's 4 position locking adjustable air hole ring....want a tight draw-no problem, little looser-one click, pretty loose-one more click and if you just wanna go hog-wild, open it up to the 4th and she'll practically blow your head off. Mouth to lung or wide open straight lung hits, this thing ROCKS!!! :vapor::headbang::rickroll:
I got mine here for $26.50, free shipping and had it in 3 days...of course I only live about 250 miles from their B&M

Ok, I got my Nautilus in today. That was QUICK! Props (does anyone still say props?) to Vapor Beast for that insanely fast shipping! I'll continue to update as time goes on b/c my initial thoughts are only after having it for an hour lol. I can say without a doubt I have not gotten any dry hits and even though I've only had it for a VERY short time, it's still better than my Protank 2! I could only take 3 draws off the PT before I'd get a dry hit. I have my ADV in it and I still have it in my Carto tank to do a more side by side comparison. First thing I noticed right off the bat is the flavor, I'm picking up on a flavor that should be in my juice, but I've never noticed it before now, the flavor is SO FAR pretty darn great. The vapor production is great. I do have a tiny bit of gurgling, but that's b/c I put a few drops of juice directly on the wicks and I cleared it up very quickly and easily. So far *knock on wood* I've seen no issues with flooding or leaking. So far I haven't gotten any of the issues (including the metal taste) I was getting from the other BC Clearos I've tried.

So my conclusion after my first hour (lol), SO FAR it's really making me consider liking this tank! I really REALLY hope that doesn't change b/c this could be a HUGE game changer for me as I've had NOTHING but problems with BC Clearos. I am going to put a bolder flavor in it as my ADV is a very mellow/mild flavor and I'd like to try it with a really 'in your face' juice (which is exactly what my Banana Cream is, it tastes IDENTICAL to a banana runt... yummmm) and see how I feel it stacks up to that kind of flavor.

Personally, I went from clearomizers to carto-tanks to RDA's and from my experience, the top of the line clearomizer on the market right now is surely the Aspire Nautilus. At this point in time there's really no debating it. In terms of carto-tanks, it just has to be something you don't mind fiddling with. When I was using them, they were fantastic for around the house vaping because it was consistent with no dry hits. As soon as I put my device in my pocket and went through a few days of work, I quickly realized how delicate carto-tanks are in comparison. Not because of the pyrex glass, but because of the actual carto itself. I actually had one rip apart in my pocket while I was on the job.

At the end of the day, every one has different tastes and for some, the carto-tanks are perfect. However, for clearomizers in particular, they're hard to debate about. The Aspire Nautilus is the best on the market right now simply because of how often the comparable clearo's leak and flood. The flavor increase and airflow control is top notch in it's category and with replacement heads that can last up to 4x longer than Kanger's, you really can't go wrong.

Hopefully you enjoy your Nautilus!
