Just an update. I ended up not really liking the nautilus x tank even with the 1.8 coils. For one, after 2 days or so, my juice was getting a burned looked and turning darker. And the taste was not the same. I was running at about 12.5 watts most of the time. The tarot nano itself is a great device and it charges very quickly. Right now I switched to using an endura t-18 silver tank on it, running it at 12 watts. Much better vape and so far no problems with my coils. It doesn't look as good since it is a taller tank, but it is getting the job done. I just really like the internal 2500 mah battery. I may order the smoktech osub mini. It is not the 40 watt device, it has no settings. It is only 1200 mah, but I think this t18 tank would look better. I could just get 2 silver mods. I like the idea of the whole side being the power button. I think the t18 tank will look nice and should give me a good vape. If I decide to order a couple I will post a pic and results.

Sounds as if you didn't prime those Nautilus X coils good enough because I run mine at 14-16 Watts but they do require extra priming in terms of e-Liquid in the coils themselves.
I found out the hard way myself these coils aren't designed for high vg liquid which is why I was burning thru coils every two days I switch to a 50/50 blend and have had no issues since.

I'm running my Nautilus X with genuine 1.8ohm coils with a 60/40 pg/vg and 12mg/ml nic @ 12.5 watts on my eleaf pico with no problems at all, the juice is a sweet tobacco and it draws through easily. I did try it with a max vg and found it didn't really suit it as not able to run it at a high enough wattage to get it to flow with good flavour where as the same max vg run perfectly through my Nautilus 2 using the 0.5ohm coils set to 22 watts.

I use max VG (I have to) and that, coupled with the flavorings I like, causes my coils to gunk up every few days, which was disconcerting as I don't have the ability to recoil every 2--3 days... I have to use VG though, I'm allergic to PG.

You can wash and reuse these coils a few times, it's recommended to use distilled water, I don't, mainly as husband has set up an industrial strength set of filters under the house, pretty much EVERYTHING has been filtered out. I put them in a glass of water, let them sit for 12 hours, and then dry them for 12 hours outside, in an empty cup overnight. I live in Tucson so low humidity/high heat, we're in an insane heatwave here (it's disconcerting to get severe heat advisories through.... Next Friday) but it certainly dries out my coils. This process is easy, seems to work fine, and doesn't really affect the quality of my vape.

I think I'd like a bigger tank than the Nautilus 2 (I use 1.8 coils) but I really like the tank and top filling, but I think if I had a larger tank my juice would not heat up as much, potentially leading to less gunking, but not necessarily, as I get far more mileage out of flavors that are clear, I just haven't found one yet where I adore the taste other than peppermint, which can get old fast....

Good call I use a pico & NautilusX with 1.8 coils at 13 watts an it's a really good vape :) funny though I find high vg works better in NautilusX than nautilus 2 cos there is bigger wicking holes!

Have you considered the original nautilus, the big brother of the mini. It's 5ml :)

I believe I just bought a clone of either that, or the Nautilus X (which if it's the X, I'm fine with getting some different coils, I just want backups). It was inexpensive, so I'm happy with it. I have a little "kit" that I carry around if I'm out and about, so it's more an annnoyance than much else.... Though I do like the idea of a larger tank. I'm hoping to find some e-juices I like better that are clear (second 2 day gunk to death experience) maybe today even. Thanks for the recommendation.

No worries I'm really enjoying the NautilusX with the 1.8 coils at the moment & cos it fills from the top it's much more convenient than the nautilus or nautilus mini which is a hassle unscrewing the damn base!
