The entire time i was sick, i was sucking on butter menthols!! Lol. Farout

I use menthol all the time, but my asthma is well controlled and I rarely wheeze from it. Still generally not medically advised. With cough medicine, I trade off the minor wheeze for actual relief, so again I use menthol. But, I'm well controlled (and more than a little stupid).

I posted this last night..but i think i posted it in the wrong area lol. Or people just didnt like my post. Newbie rookie. Ill post it here anyway.

Just curious who vapes and is an asthmatic? Have you found it to be more beneficial to your asthma health? Any pros and cons or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Niki
Don't inhale and keep your VG mix down below 40%.
Nicotine is absorbed through the mucus membranes in your mouth,
if you play around with the vapor you need not inhale.

40%VG/60PG seems to be the consensus among asthmatics
where the vape doesn't aggravate your bronchials

Huge point right there. You want nic hit, you got it, no inhale required at all. A good MTL setup with whatever nicotine level you need to satisfy can be done entirely without inhaling.

Quite honestly even at 3mg I still get a nice little headrush from going MTL and blowing O's.

Isnt that funny you say that. I had given up 15 yrs ago when i fell pregnant with my daughter. Smoked normal..still was in and out of hospital. Gave up..didnt see a hospital isln 15yrs for my asthma. Started again in january this year (major depression) ..started on menthol..body went to .... very, very quickly. Had subcutaneous emphysema...then thunderstorm asthma (australian) ..then recently the flu. All times i was hospitalized. Been off them 18 days...never felt better. Im solid proof of the negative effects of smoking. Menthol made me worse.

Hey Niki! You got the thunderstorm asthma? What a horrible, scary time that was. 9 deaths just out of the blue. Thank god you got the correct treatment in time. Keep up the good work and enjoy your journey. So much to learn, and people are giving you great advice here.

Yeh..very unlucky. I coughed so hard thst day it made me dry reach and start spewing up bile. The gag reflex was so severe it burst a small hole in my chest and leaked thousands of tiny air bubbles into my throat snd upper chest. It was cslled subcutaneous emphysema. Extremely rare, ususllybonly ever seen in car accidents if intense force. So you can imagine just how hard i was coughing. Landed me in hospital for 5 days. Very scary. We are heading back into thundstorm asthma territory. Im staying indoors during every thunderstorm that happend from now till February.

I'm glad you are ok,, NikiVaper! Man, that sounds like a terrifying experience. I'm glad vaping is working for you so far, it too got into it after *finally* getting scared about where my health was headed, and I'm SO glad I did. Never thought I'd be saying that, I fully expected to pine for cigarettes forever. I don't. I don't even want to *smoke* them now, apart from very rare occasions.

Just another quick question...what does it mean to have insufficient privileges to reply to a thread?
I see Izan gave you the answer for locked threads - when you get to 70posts you will see the same insufficient privileges thing and only be able to reply in New Members forum and not start a new thread. At 19days ciggie free and doing well you will soon hit that !
Good luck and may the success continue

@classwife any chance of modifying the thread title of "Gaping and copd" ? pretty please ;)
