My Saber VV finally landed at my house earlier in the day, and has been sitting right next to me at my job like my new beft friend... In case anybody is wondering I got the special limited Hammertoned Malachite saber, Heres a pic:

This thing is so beautifully made and the brass end-caps really accent the device nicely.

I aboslutley love this device, rock solid construction, and the famous touch sensor. This is a true work of art, tt's too bad my camera hand was all shaky (1 pot of coffee in an hour) and couldnt get a more stable pic. I want to know how you were able to achieve the texturing on it... I'll do the 1 week in review soon, and then do the 30 day with final thoughts...

The texturing is part of the powder coating. The size and granularity of the powder effect the finish. I have the purple version for my STs because I like the slightly rough texture. Means it never feels slippery in my hands even when I'm holding it very gently. For me that provides a nice reassurance that I won't drop it even on days when my fingers hurt to grip things. The copper vein is another one where the texture is due to the material of the powder coating I'd assume pretty much like the Malachite you have.
