I've got a whole box full of mods similar to those you listed, all bought trying to save some money. Do yourself a favor and try to make do with what you have until you've saved enough to get something worth spending your money on. I use three mods daily now a GGTS, Provari Mini and a Vamo. The first two are built better but the Vamo has some really nice features that they don't even when the GG is Kicked. The Vamo is really nice if you are into rebuildables. You can check your resistance on it but you really don't need to if you have it set for a certain wattage. When it comes to making coils you don't have to get them exactly right, just get them in the neighborhood and it'll dial them in for you. If you look around there are co-ops being run on these or you can order from China if you want to save some cash. For $50 it's got to be the best bang-for-your-buck in the vaping world. Here's a review of it if you haven't seen it:

I agree, save your money! I almost bought a gripper, then I handled one at a B&M, it was decent, until he wanted $30 for the silly thing!
I've heard a lot of good things of the Vamo and Zmax, I haven't used either though so I can't say for sure. I bit the bullet and bought a Provari mini, everything else is collecting dust right now! It's not that it's that much better to vape, it's just built well, and it JUST WORKS! Period!
You don't have to spend that kind of money though, as I said, the Vamo and Zmax can be found for good prices with some searching. Even a SB is a good choice, then add an extension and a Kick later on. I might sell my Lava tube some day, but my BB will NEVER go anywhere! It's just built too well, and it WORKS as well!

Yes, SB= Silver Bullet, BB= Black Beauty, both from Alstsmoke.
I assure you, I feel your pain! I have a broken back, no income per-se, my wife's income goes strictly for bills, and doesn't cover that most times! I had to do some things that both my wife and Dr's are VERY angry with me about, and took me several weeks to recover from, to come up with the money to buy my Provari!
But look at what you are spending on cigs a month, think about Dr bills in the future, think about being there for your family in the future! I watch a lady drop $150 on three carton of cigs a while back! So $100 or less for something that will work...........?

Thanks, man!

Winter has messed with my livelihood, so I am improvising.

It's funny you mentioned the doctor thing, I just went through it with mine about him telling me I must have labwork done and coming up with the extra $$$ stings me a bit, to say the least .But I guess that's the price of having so much hardware in your body.

I am not digging this "getting old" crap:grr::grr:

The VAMO has me quite intrigued.

Ha ha ha ha!! Yeah, $500 out of pocket for the MRI, then they need another one. $1400 out of pocket for the first spinal injection, then $1100 for the second. $500 for a consultation with the surgeon, $500 for a consultation with the PT specialist. $300 a week for PT, until we meet the $3000 deductible. It's a racket and all we can do is file bankruptcy because we are too young to get disability and the bills don't stop coming while filling, and you can't work, even though you can't work, while trying to file!
But I digress, before I get wound up about how stupid this system is!

If you're looking for a new mod to try, have you gotten ECF verified so you can order through the co-ops? Right now there are 2 that might/should/could be of interest for what you're looking for:

JeepBear has an active VAMO buy going that you might be able to get on the backup list for a unit http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...silver-chrome-v2-ego-kit-round-two-co-op.html

Sanjosse has a Sigelei Z-Max about to go live any day now http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/coop-planning-discussion/342386-stainless-steel-zmax-oled-screen-new-option-8-displays-vrms.html

Both units are getting excellent reviews and testimonials.

I think I started the process of getting verified and then I was like "Nahhh" , I just can't get used to this new thing in society where so many organizations feel obliged to crawl up your pancreas and demand information as if it were just a matter of course. Couple that with the "data mining profiling software" and it's just so beyond Orwellian it staggers ones mind occasionally.

But beyond my rant, I have considered co-ops. I know next to nothing about them though other than you can get stuff very inexpensively.

Maybe I'll bend and do the verification thing anyway :)

It's worth it to get verified, also I got no increase in spam after going through the process. There have been other sites where I registered and then got flooded. The co-op's are where one guy gets enough people together to meet the minimum order requirement from the wholesaler. Once he gets enough commitments he collects the funds and places the order. The order will come to him and he will ship each unit to the people involved. Sometimes the savings are drastic and at other times not so much. If you get multiple units you usually do better because shipping stays about the same but is spread out thinner. Some people don't like the delay but I always used the time to collect all the other things I'll need when it arrives, like batts and charges, wicks and wire etc. Check out the details and see if one of them fits your needs. Because everybody is verified now, chances of getting ripped are next to nothing now.

Ima gonna look into it :)

China is also an option, especially if the co-ops have long waiting times. That waiting on shipping aspect reminds me of the China factor. I got ego variables for under ten bucks each, shipping included. took a month, but I am very satisfied with the merchandise.
They've got Phoenix attys and DID clones both for around 6 bucks, again shipping included.

one think that i didn't see mentioned about the phoenix not working on the MVP is using a 510-510 adapter. while i dont have a MVP yet i do have a few mods that certain setups wont work on without the adapter. with the reviews i have heard about the MVP I doubt anything other then a poor connection is the issue.

Wow! You nailed it man! I somehow glazed over your response until this morning.

Got in dawg-... tired after shoveling an avalanche-amount of snow. Sat down lookin' at the Phoenix thinkin' "there's got to be a way..." then whammo! I saw my 510 to Ego adapter and thought, maybe, just maybe...

Guess what? The MVP really shines with a Phoenix.

With an adapter!!! A 510-ego or I imagine 510 to 510, just firms up the loose center tit enough to not set off the MVPs protection mechanism.

I'm so happy!!!!!
