SO I purchased an I-atty and it worked for a whole 6 hours. The first coil was a 3 coil (3-wraps) tested @ 1.1ohms and worked fine on my MVP. The coil popped about 6 hours later, not sure why. I went to use it and it just didn't work. I tested ohms on the MVP and read NON. I went home and built a new coil as seen in the pics above. I actually built about 3 but this was the best and read 1.6 ohms on my commercial electric meter. When installed on my MVP, the ohm meter reads NON. When put on my ego twist 1000 it fires but barely (the ego battery is near dead and charger loaned out). After I took the above pics, I made a new coil. I wrapped the s*#! out of the mesh (a lot of wraps) 32ga. I connected the terminals and tested resistance at 7.8ohms with my meter. I removed a couple coils and reconnected the terminal. I re-tested @ 5.2ohms. I did this until I tested the coil at 2.5ohms. I cleaned everything up and installed it onto the dying ego batt. and it fired. The MVP would still not register the resistance of the coil. My other clearos all work fine on the MVP. I'm going to go down to the shop tomorrow and see if it'll fire on a 3.7V mech mod. and possibly acquire some new hardware... we'll see how it goes.

The positive contact on the MVP, and most any Innokin APV for that matter, tends to be deep (.167" plus more often than not)... so, you simply may not have contact.

hmm. I was wondering if contact was an issue. I just bought a bottle of alc. so I'll clean the terminals and try again. It made contact before on the first try when I purchased it. Jeff over at Innevape's shop built my first coil, tested on his mech.mod and then installed onto my MVP 2.0. It read 1.1 ohms on the MVP and worked... still going hmm. Thanks for the input.

ok. it works. the contacts between the atty and mvp were not making contact (explaining the NON display). I cleaned all electrical connections and picked the center pin on the atty down below the threads so that when installed on the MVP 2.0, it makes contact. All put back together and works fine.
After talking with an Innokin engineer, they are due to change the pin to a solid but taller one, reducing the overall pin depth... or using a spring loaded pin. I suspect the former rather than the latter.
Probably a few months out before this happens... and they'll be doing it across the board with all Innokin APVs. I've got all my above 1.3Ω attys adjusted to work with all my iTaste APVs, then all my mechs adjusted to match... so everything fits everything. ;-)

I've been playing with some of my toppers and my MVP2s. The AGA T2 is just now being coiled properly and sitting atop VV/VW devices without popping coils and shorting out =] I've got Aga on a vamo and she's been on it happily for a bit. My iATTY is now on my Pisces... I'll test her around here and there to see if my coil building skills hold strong and there are not shorts :p
