Hi I use to be fit, but after 17 yrs of smoking i get outta breath walking up the stairs. I quit smoking and now only vape(6 weeks). My question is have people vaped and exercised, then gotten into great shape still vaping. I started at 18 nic strength, now im down to 9. I vape about 1 bottle 30mg a week. Is the any athletes that vape?

I have lost shape after I quit smoking (appetite, appetite...)
I started smoking again, lost weight, gained in shape.
Now I vape after one more quitting smoking, things are going better then when I quit without vaping.

P.S. I have smoked 1.5 PAD for very long time, have not seen adverse effects. It is very difficult to separate effect of smoking and effect of aging.

I'm 36 years old, I don't think I have hit "the wall" yet. When i was in my teens and up to about my early 30s I tried to exercise a fair amount, but still smoked. I would ride my bike to and from work everyday(about 15 miles round trip) and still get a sick thrill when i would smoke at the same time i was riding. I realized that it wasn't the smartest thing but ... im just curious if you can train while vaping. Thank you form answering me back.

I never had a problem with it. 40 year on and off smoker here and I have almost always had better wind than my opponents.

I think age, fat and atrophy have more to do with it. That is not to say some people don't suffer ill effects but I didn't. Well other than age, fat and atrophy :D

I think proper eating, strength training and most of all stretching are far more important. I still got the guns. But hey, am 55 years old, no longer have the six pack, in fact I have gained some wait since vaping instead of smoking but I look better than most of the younger generation that seams to have very little self respect....................

I used to be a cross country runner... I didn't really smoke that much anyway, maybe only at weekends after a beer or two. To be honest I diddnt really feel that much better about not smoking but I probably didn't smoke enough :/ I've heard others that I know who smoked a lot more than me have had massive benefits from moving to vaping
