weird on this site or the photobucket site? I see your pics above but I've noticed that there are posts in other threads that don't have pics when they seem like they are supposed to.

Me too, I love this thread! I'm crazy over the same mods as most of you are, and as excited.

The Roller is my all time favorite ever. It still makes me smile every time I pick it up, which is the only reason I ever set it down is so I can pick it up again. It's just perfect in every way, in all modes. I'd be totally lost without it.

The Poldiac is wonderful too! Yes, it requires cleaning, you lazy :::insert alternative word for mules/donkeys here::: , lol, but it still looks great even when it's all Patina'd up. I save the polishing for picture day, and then forget to polish it anyway lol. It does polish up great with SharkHide stuff. ((hold your nose!).

Both require contact cleaning. Nice Wesiman's silver cleaning stuff is great, or just baking soda or vinegar and baking soda... whatever gentle way that works for you. The plastic bag trick is a ball saver I tell ya.

OH! Come to think of it, the Poldiac costs less than you might think. I won a 2nd Poldiac from entering my order number into the Lottery. So, with any luck, you might get 2 for the price of one too.

I am so going to buy anther Roller before the end of the year, can't wait!!
Also drooling over the Nemesis too. It looks quite sweet.
But, if I don't, I am still one extremely happy & content Vaper.

Just opened up the Poldiac a few minutes ago...it's really nice. I'll get some pics of all my Greek mods on Sunday when my work week is over. I bet they will all look great side by side posing together.

I've got a question. Every time I have the roller in 18350 mode, when I go to unscrew the outer tube to swap it out to say an 18650, BOTH tubes unthread. Meaning the entire tube section along with the main tube comes out. I wouldn't give it too much thought, other than an annoyance. But apparently you want to remove your atty anytime you remove the main tube according to Atmizoo. As it places stress on the switch assembly. Removing the atty to simply put in a battery is a bit more of an annoyance.

Whenever I use it in 18350. I make sure I don't screw it on tight. I just twist it enough to where it doesn't unscrew both tubes. I usually keep it in 18650 mode most of the time. Don't like carrying extra batteries when I'm out and about.

It may be super cute in 18350 mode but for me, that's too much batt changing. I sold my 18350s and keep 18650s in mine all the time. So, I need to take off my rba every time I change out the batt?

Apparently according to their instruction you should be removing it when you remove the "MAIN tube" meaning the inner tube. As it puts stress on the switch assembly. However, if you are using it in 18350 mode, it has a tendency to unscrew both tubes if you torque them down too tight. As long as the inner tube doesn't unscrew, you don't need to take your atty off I believe.

I like 18350's, 18500's, 18650's. I'm really growing fond of 18500's for some reason though. Hey but I work from home and work like 19 hours a day, so batteries aren't an issue for me. What's it like outside again!??

I'll try to not tighten it too much then. But I'm just so DAMN strong!

LOL, got another RSST today in the mail. Will not fit the Roller, the EA or an ego twist. Fits the Drawtube though. Time to get a REAL rebuildable I guess. AC9 would have been my choice since the RSST is just so easy for me. But from what I hear, same issues possibly? Recommendations on a non-clone?

I guess I got lucky..everything I have threads onto to..everything I have LOL. I bought an AC9 a couple months ago and sold it a week later. I just didn't like it.. I didn't feel that it was worth the $ I paid. I bought a RSST and I love it and feel it is worth the money I paid. Not knocking the AC9... it just wasn't for me. I couldn't seem to get it set up and keep it set up... I kept having hot spots. I'm sure that I could now make it work but back then, for some reason, I couldn't. I probably sold it too soon and should have worked with it some more but we had a transmission go out and I paniced and felt I had to sell something, so I sold the one thing I was having the most problems with.

I have 2 DIDs and they are beasts to set up (those small nuts) but I have no problems with them but that AC9 kicked my ....! My RSST is a dream to set up.. easy peasy

Yeah I love the RSST, would like to get a non-clone though I guess. I guess I'll figure out what to do with this RSST, but it really bums me out when I have to fix stuff I paid for. These were from a vendor that claims they were "tested". How can they be tested? How can you test them if they don't screw onto 80% of devices? Yep won't thread onto my Sigelei Zmax either. 5 devices here (not counting my e-pipe) and it threads onto ONE!

I'm confused. Mine has a battery cap at the bottom of the mod that easily spins on and off. I loosen the battery tube a bit, to take the pressure off the spring, and it loosens easily enough without disturbing the atty base part. You might have to tork your atty base part down a little tighter onto the main tube? Or hold it in place while you unscrew the body? I change out the 350's and 500's all the time without any problems, via the battery end cap.

Trust me I'm confused too. My inner tube cannot be torqued any tighter though - it's as tight as it's going to get. If you see above I'm not the only one with the issue. But I've never tried your method and I will. It is very hard to hold in place though when it's in 18350 mode. The little lip is so small. Thanks for the tip, I did a dry run and it seems to help.

I can't seem to get a straight answer on this question. For the dingo (or any fully mechanical mod) is it best to use a protected AW ICR or AW IMR 18350 battery? Which one is more likely to short/melt/release gas? Which one would be less dangerous if something went wrong? Most of the research I have done on this show that most people use The IMR battery. Is it true that because of the composition of the IMR, it is less likely to have problems than a protected ICR? Is it even a valid concern anymore to fear batteries causing damage to person or mod? I will be using 1.7ohm cartomizers if that makes any difference. Any information would be appreciated.

That's exactly how I do mine.

You guys gotta realize that while I can assemble a 1/2 ton screen printing press, a tiny battery tube turns me into a blathering idiot. If you tighten the outer tube as tight as it will go, in my case TOO tight, it will unscrew the inner tube as well. In other words, mongo madman me, is used to snugging it down and going another 1/4 turn. I was imply tightening the outer tube too tightly. I tested it with just tightening down the outer tube until it stops and then no more, and we're good now.

Any battery can be dangerous if something goes wrong. Most people use unprotected IMR batteries due to their relatively safer chemistry and higher amp ratings. Protected batteries have some fail safes built in but they limit the amps. Most vaping applications require high drain (high amp) batteries like the IMR.

General battery safety is something that you should read up on. You also will need to purchase a multimeter to make sure that you are not over draining your batteries, or even over charging them.

If you are overly worried about a battery failure or if you don't want to bother with testing your batteries and following general safety guidelines I suggest sticking with VV/VW devices that have safety features built in.
