Hi,
I have been puffing away on my e cig while waiting to leave to go to work....must have become distracted or something, because I realised the atomiser was getting a bit hot and took the cartridge off. The atomiser coil was literally burning red hot! Hmmm, wondering now if this is going to be the death of it.
Has anyone else had anything like this or is this normal if you overdo it??

If your atomiser gets to hot stop and leave it cool down for a while. It could be a sign that your cartridge is running dry.
Occationally a faulty switch in the battery will cause the atomiser to activate causing it to get very hot without you having to vape. If this happens remove the battery and discard it or you will fry your atomiser.

they will stand a dull cherry red for short periods without apparent harm...

it could be considered normal.. but as pax says look out for switching.. new atomizer have electro magnetic switches so one of my suppliers tells me..

these have shorter three second cut offs but are over sensitive and might suffer from powering the heater coil when they shouldnt be doing..

i did post this a few days back but as usual nobody seems interested in the technical side of things... he he
