Atomizer and my VGO...whats the problem?

Ok, so im about a month into vaping and i absolutely love it. I started out simple with a V2 auto and manual battery just suckin on cartomizers and i loved it but the batteries died too quick. For my birthday my brother purchased me a Kanger V-GO starter kit...which is still an 808 connection so i could use it on all the stuff i already had. Recently i decided to try using an atomizer as i have never done so. LiteCigs was having a good sale on them so just bought a stardard 510 atomizer and an 808 to 510 adapter. Well i got it today...filled the cartridge and screwed it onto my V-Go. everything fit perfectly, but i was getting barely any vapor. I noticed that the led on the end of my VGO would sort of dull in and out while i was drawing on it...it basically wasnt doing anything. For ....s and hahas i plugged the adpater and atty onto my V2 manual stick battery and BOOM! Plumes of vapor! I was impressed but i dont understand why my V-GO which is a 650 mah fat battery wont fire it up properly. the connection seemed fine but just to be safe...i adjusted to post on the battery and the atty to ensure a good connection...Still barely anything. I dont understand how it could work wonders on a little stick battery but V-GO cant do it. any ideas??!! HELP PLEASE!

OH
I hope someone will come soon with a solution.

I don't know. From what I read the VGO seems to be unregulated 3.7 V (starts off at 4.1 V and goes down as you vape); bottom line, when freshly charged, both the VGO and the V2 should put out exactly the same voltage. However, if that is wrong, or if a newer version of the VGO is actually regulated eGo style (~3.3 V) then it would make sense the VGO gives less power to the atty than a freshly charged V2, but there should be some usable vapor even then. What resistance is your atomizer, do you know (it's definitely "standard resistance" because otherwise it wouldn't work on the V2)?

All I can think of is that the adapter is somehow not fully compatible with the VGO's connector, but I don't know how likely this is... You could try unscrewing it a fraction of a turn see if that helps...

This is a tough one. My first suspicion was the post. You got that covered. Then too high a resistance, but that wouldn't account for how poor the vapor is. Then, the connector, but it works on the V2 o,k.

Is the Vgo working ok with other cartos of the same resistance? Do you have a multimeter to check the output of the battery and the resistance of the atomizer? See what happens when you use the atomizer on the VGo and just drip juice straight into the atomizer.

well now its not working at all on my V2, the light on the V2 is also now going a bit dim and i get a tiny bit of vapor every 4 or 5 pulls whether its direct drip or the cart. Its most definitely a connection issue...perhaps the adapter is the problem? anyone have any suggestions of a better one or a different way to do this?

update: the atomizer is LR...i didnt even realize. But i still dont see how that could be an issue or does it need to be SR? I know i read somewhere that LR is fine for 450 mah or higher and i am at 650 mah with my vgo. I obviously wont be connecting it to my V2 again because i dont want to damage my battery.

update: I did try unscrewing a bit and that did nothing. Im at a loss. Guess i should just get an 808 atomizer. I know they have them for the VGO. I was just looking into a good price at the time.
