So do I still need to let them dry overnight? Sorry for all the questions.....atomizer care is definitely something I'm interested in......$7 is $7 after all!! Lol

Hi folks! Couple o' things: I use the highest % rubbing alcohol the drug store has - 91 or 95% or whatever - on both attys & cartos, and I soak 'em all together. Then I rinse 'em well with hot water, then use a denture cleansing tablet & give them a nice, proper denture bath for 15 - 20 minutes. Then I flush 'em with hot water again. Then blow the attys out gently with a can of compressed air I keep around to clean computer parts & stuff. The attys are then ready to use.

As for the cartos, if I need to use them or fill 'em right away I stand 'em on their mouth ends all together & secure them with a rubber band, then put 'em in the toe of a clean sock, mouth-end down. Secure them in that position & spin the sock rapidly round & round to sling the water out of the cartos.

Is all that stuff necessary? Probably not, but I'm single & retired so I can get away with it. Also I'm still playing with this stuff, finding out what works & what won't kill me.

Don't know if you mentioned what kind of PV you're using but another poster suggested using Boge cartomizers, and that's a very good suggestion for the sake of convenience, price & some other stuff I can't think of right now. If you're using a bigger battery PV such as an eGo or larger, Boge LR 2.0 Ohm cartos are great; for slim, cig-sized 510 batteries their SR, 3.0 Ohm are recommended. Also for the larger batts the Smoktech XL single coil 1.7 Ohm cartos are great.

I only mentioned the cartos in case you're having trouble with the atty/cartridge setup, and if it's on a cig-sized battery it's definitely more trouble than you need. In that case I'd strongly suggest going with the 3.0 Ohm Boge, from here if he's got 'em in stock: DiscountVapers - Your source for savings on electronic cigarettes and accessories, Go-go eGo, vGo

Best of luck, & Happy vaping! :vapor:

I actually have both the eGO and a few 510s that i use for backup. I ended up with a really good eGO batt.....900mAH.....I only have to charge it every other day and I vape a lot! I do use carts and attys a lot but only when im home and topping up isnt an issue. When im on the road, I use 510 tanks or bud tanks....also hwve a couple 510 clearomizers. I bought a couple of the big cartos.....

I don't like the big cartos......they leak......badly!!

Are you using them in a tank, or are they some of the big clear cartos? I haven't tried tanks or clearos yet, partly because of the horror stories I've seen on here about them leaking. However my E-Power 14650 had the option of getting 3 Smoktech DCLR dad-burn monster cartos obviously designed for this PV & holding about 7ml of juice (with never a leak). They're great, but were the last thing to recommend for a beginner. What I really needed was somebody to tell me what I really needed - which was a good 1.8 - 2.0 Ohm dripping atty & drip tip to sample as many juice variations as I could get my hands on, and a bunch of Boge 2.0 Ohm cartos for the juices I liked. Of course, I don't expect that would be what everyone would need who has a PV with about the same power rating as mine; some folks will want a different setup entirely, for cooler/hotter vapor, less/more TH, etc. For that reason (IMO) the more or less "ideal" E-Power or KGO starter kit would include 3 or 4 good dripping attys, each at a different resistance, w/drip tip(s), and probably two or three Boge cartos of each resistance (LR, SR) available (I'm thinking 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 Ohm) with instructions on filling & topping off the cartos for optimum life. This simple setup would give the new vaper a good chance to see what works & what doesn't for his/her own preference & get 'em off to a good start. Once zeroed in on a few preferred juices & a favored resistance range, the more serious exploration can begin without being so frustrating. Seems to me though a "Starter Kit" should be as simple and basic as practical, while still covering the bases. You know, for "starters". :D

People freak out about atty's, I ordered for $8 a reg joye 510 atty, thing is great, 2 months + no problems.
About every 7-10 days i'll do a hot distilled water wash and let it dry overnight, prime the baby in the morning and its good to go, I also clean it if a horrible tasting e-liquid flavor gets stuck in it, some liquids once vaped, everything after tastes the same and I hate that. Simply just hot water rinses and let it dry overnight.

I do dry burn once a month, but never overdo it.

Happy Vaping,
-Seth

These cartos are just big monsters cartos.....black and huge....hold about 2 ml. And doesnt matter how I fill them.....syringe or by dripping, they get either stopped up or they leak. Can't use the condom method to fill these.....the batting is wayyyy down in there.....it won't work. I betcha I won't get anymore of them.....that's for sure! I'll just stick with my bud tanks and 510 tanks. I also love the lil clearomizers.....don't know the brand......diameter is the same as a 510 batt and they hold abt a ml. The mouthpiece is a mini rubber driptip......maybe u know which ones im talking about? The vapor is warm.....almost like an analog....
