This should be in the ECF Library, there is so much information on cleaning out there and misinformation that I have personally followed, losing attys as a direct result of.

Just put a link to this in the Annex. If you want to check, follow link in my sig and look for atomizer cleaning.

I would be scared of that one but what do I know. I haven't found a good method yet myself. So far running hot water through them blowing out gently then letting them dry overnight has worked the best but I really think once they're gone they're gone & I just buy another one. I use 901's & I've found 1 site that sells them for $4.99

Well the reason I know it would work pretty good is when I was younger I used to use it to clean out "pipes/bowls", that I used for something other then tobacco, and it worked great and that stuff leaves behind a very hard to remove residue (resin).

I've used a water pick for months now and it seems to work great for me :)

I'll second that. I've been using my Water-Pik on blu and 510 atomizers for a month or so, and I have had promising results.

I've got the standard model with the detachable reservoir, so I fill that up with very warm water, turn the setting to high, and blast away. When I'm done I blow out the atomizer and dry with a paper towel. The usual dry burn and drip procedure follows and I'm good to go.

I'll update later when I pass the 6 month mark or lose an atomizer.

As an aside, the Water-Pik is great for cleaning disposable razors.

can someone describe the 'usual dry burn' procedure for getting rid of of build up?

im talking about regular maintenance. my attys are only a week old. should a dry burn be part of regular maintenance routine? how long do you dry burn without risking killing it? my attys are regular joye 510 with regular batteries, no high volt or lr here.

I ruined both of my friend's atomizers (e Go Tank) trying to clean them. I followed exact directions from a You Tube video. I popped out the strikeplate, rinsed it, patted dry, then ran water thru the atomizer. Did the dry burn thing, and it was then dead. I did this exact same thing to another one and it was also dead. I did this on 3 of my own and they were fine. Am I supposed to let them dry overnight? Am I shorting them out? Aren't they electronic devices? If so, isn't it bad to get them wet? I am so scared to try to clean them ever again! Thanks. Oh, and I also cleaned a clearomizer. Both of them I let sit to dry and they were fine. So what am I doing wrong?

You very carefully wiggle off the plastic while the clearomizer is attached - do when it is empty, otherwise all the ejuice will come out. Then you carefully unscrew it from the battery. Rinse it, pat dry with a paper towel, let dry, preferably overnight. I suppose you could leave the top stoppers in, but I took them out and ran water thru the plastic tube and left it to dry overnight. Then I put the main element back on the battery and did a dry burn (dry burn = no ejuice in there). Only hold the button down 1 second or two. Stop, do the same thing until no smoke comes out and the top wick part is not burnt looking anymore, and instead is white. Then insert it back into the tube, and put the rubber stopper back in on top with it lined up with the atomizer. Add your ejuice, and put the other stopper back in (or not). Shake, let sit to soak up the juice, and vape!

OK...how do you keep it from leaking from the bottom after you have wiggled it from the bottom metal piece?
