I've boiled them, soaked them in water, blown through them. Sheesh! Now I've got three 510 attys soaking in PGA (aka Everclear 190 proof). Put them in last night, jiggled the cup when I passed.

Will 24 hours in PGA do it? I've been using blue ScotchBrite pads, so there's no lint or fuzz in there.

thanks. Be warned: any answers to this question will result in me hijacking my own thread with three dozen MORE questions.

I Have found that NOT Cleaning attys is the best thing to make them last.
Do a search for cleaning on here and you will find thousands of recomendations. It will probably take you the best part of a year or two to try them all...

But really.. I use a little alcohol. PGA is fine to soak in for a few minues or so and then rinse out and dry out.. If that doesnt do it, I usally try a new atty..

I am not sure how good this is for an atty but, when i go to clean them i have been using mouthwash, i let them soak for an hour or so, then i rinse with water let dry overnight. So far I have done this to 3 attys and all worked fine. Also i did a dry burn of about 7 seconds then dripped on them and was good to go. Hope this helps.
