I started on this idea a few weeks ago when I bought a bottle of 190 proof everclear to use in my e-liquids. I started thinking what am I going to do with this bottle of everclear when I only needed an ounce or two at most for my home brew e-juice. So I went online and looked for drink recipes with everclear. This is when I discovered Limoncello. So I started making a batch for my birthday, which was two weeks away, perfect timing.
I figured that I could use an ounce or so of the 190 proof lemon extract in my juice right? Good enough reason for me.
This is the limoncello recipe I used.

Zest of 10 organic lemons.

(You don't want any pesticides or wax on the zest. make sure you only get the yellow part of the peel and not any of the white. The white is very bitter.)

Poor a 750 ml bottle of 190 proof everclear into a large container and add the zest. seal the container and let it steep at room temperature for at least 7 days. Mine sat for 12 days.

Once it has rested for the required length of time, make a batch of simple syrup. I used 4 cups of water to 3 1/2 cups of sugar.

Remove the zest from the extract and filter it. I used a paper coffee filter. This is important if you plan to vape it.
Don't forget to sat aside a couple of ounces or whatever you want to spare for your e-juice.
Then after your simple syrup has cooled to room temperature poor it into your 190 proof extract. This will make it between 80 and 95 proof. depends on how much extract you saved, or didn't.

Now all is left to do is bottle up your concoction and place it in the freezer. It will not freeze because of the alcohol content. This will make two 750ml bottle of Limoncello.
Note: keep it stored in the freezer, and don't make more than you need as it does not keep for long periods of time.

Now while your Limoncello is getting chilled. Time to make some e-juice.
I used 3 parts pg, 2 parts VG and 1 part of the 190 proof lemon extract that I had saved. I figured the VG would give it a bit of sweetness, kind like the simple syrup in the Limoncello.

The taste was kind of mild, you might say lemony fresh.
But the Limoncello was to die for.

My wife, unbeknownst to me, envited over a bunch of guests that evening for my Birthday, so of course I had to share my Limoncello. I kept warning people about it, telling them that this was hard liquor and was not a mixed drink. Before I knew it, I had people passing out all over the place. I became the key keeper. My two precious bottles of Limoncello were empty, and the next morning I was stumbling all over people while trying to get to the coffee pot.

Anyway, If you decide to try this, don't tell anyone, unless you want to go through what I did and have to be the key keeper on your birthday.
