Atomizer for dripping with EGO style Batteries....Testing new flavours.

hey people,

So been researching all the different options available in the world of vaping and seen people dripping. I like the idea as I have purchased a few new juices but having the EVOD kit I only have clearomizers. Im looking for options to get at atomizer that fits with an ego battery I can stick on drip tip on and test each new flavor I buy. Figured it could be a good idea to show friends too.

Phoenix V4 is good one around $6. And it works good.

They make dual and single coil 510 atomizers. They look like a short cartomizer. Buy the ego cone too. It will protect it from getting whacked. And help control airflow a little as well. (Its like $1). If you buy an ego collar for a tank. It looks like a flair. It will help support larger atomizer tanks. The IGO-L is an entry level rebuild able that should work ok if you REALLY want to drip as a starter.

Dont go rebuildable unless you have a way to check ohms on the coil. ***

Well I can say im not ready to rebuild anything, still getting my feet wet lol I just figured this would be a good idea to quickly test new flavors without have to wash a tank so much. VV will be my next step in this vaping game before I step up to rebulding.

So my batteries are the 650mah/3.7v versions. Would you guys recommend the standard resistance only?

I used 1.8 ohm coil heads in my mini vivi novas for a while until I started using rebuild-ables..
The Phoenix was my first rda.. I did a lot of research and found that it might not be safe to build coils under 1.5 ohms on an eGo battery.
I'm using a vamo now with the igo-l

Get a igo-w dripper, dual coil and will last completely long enough for you to want to rebuild it. You can buy the wick with coils pre made a fasttech for a few bucks and get 50 of them or start reading and tubing then just buy the wire and cotton to do your own. They are around 15 or less and have plenty of accessories to get later. Another option is to buy the 510 t base or bridgeless atty, It is disposqble and can be dripped instead of using a cartomizer.

With those batteries I wouldn't go below 1.7 ohms nor above 2.2 ohms.

I personally prefer right around 1.8 ohms myself.

Are all of the 510 atomizers sized at the top for a drip tip?

Yes. I'd avoid short ones tho as the attys are short and they get HOT fast.

There is no packing or juice to dissipate heat. Again. Hot. Fast.

Another reason the ego cone is a great idea.

This is what I'm talking about. Tho I paid $1 for mine. Can't remember from where as Ive ordered SO SO much stuff lately.

I would match the ohm of Atty to your voltage range of your battery.

Its 4.2-3.3 on a non variable ego? Or does it hold 3.7?

(I have a vision spinner, which is adj. So I dunno about the non variable ones?).

Of you take a 1.8 ohm coil the wattage would be;
10w tapering off to about 5.5w. If the voltage drops with useage. Thats a pretty wide spread. But its the one I would go for as it would give you the most time in the sweet spot around 7-8W. Its going to rip right off the charger tho.

Again. Maybe someone can answer if the std ego's regulate voltage to something specific?

I jumped right into VV/VW and now mech and RDA's. So I skipped some basics.

Im pretty sure Evod batts have constant 3.7 v .

If you do decide to get a cone for your atty it will tighten draw.If you dont like that you can do what I did back when I used them and drill small air holes in them to open the draw You can also look at long barrel dripping attys .

If your battery is 3.7 V, I would start with about 2.2 ohms.

Yes, 510 atomizers all take regular 510 drip tips.

But, if you really want a good flavor, try the Cisco 306 atomizers from Avid Vaper. Unfortunately, you will need a 306 drip tip for it. But, it's well worth it.

Stupid question....I bought the atty that Vash is talking about a few days ago. Never used one before. And still haven't LoL. How do you use a sealed atty if you can't draw from it? Should I have bought an unsealed? Just using an ego battery and the atomizer. Do I need something else?

Merf if you look right above the threads you should see two holes. That is where air comes into the Atty. The seal on the end keeps liquid from going down into the batt that is not sealed. Cash correct me if I am wrong. That is suppose to be an good Atty. Long barrel for sure.

There are no holes. It's completely sealed. Lol should have done some more research before buying it. Just seemed like a good way to go.

So, you haven't actually tried it yet? Why not try it and see if it's going to be a problem first? Then, if it is, go from there.

1.8 ohms single coil with small wick setup. works perfect for juice tasting.
don't need to use slim topper. go with full size RDA like IGO-L for larger desk.
Bigger size RDA doesn't mean bigger battery.
