I am wanting to order some backup atomizer heads for my kanger mini protank II but not sure which one to get. It gives me the option of 1.8 or 2.4 omh resistance. What is the difference?
The difference is about 0.6 ohms!! Sorry, couldn't resist. Do you like the ones you have?? If so, the ohms is stamped on the base of it, you'll need a magnifier to see it. Get more of those. I personally like the 2.2 ohm coils best, but that's just me.
Generally 1.8 Ohm are for use with Non-VV/VW mods such as the non adjustable ego batteries.
For VV/VW mods I suggest the 2.5 Ohm. Less battery drain, and IMO just vape better.
Best case get one of each and make your own decision. That's what I did. 2 bucks is not a major investment.
The lower the resistance the hotter the coil gets. For me, the 1.8 ohm Kanger coils are just too hot, even at the lowest voltage available on a variable voltage battery. There just isn't any "room" to adjust the voltage low enough to produce a vape that isn't on the hot/harsh side. Personally I stick with the 2.4 ohm coils because of this.
