Atomizer heads - how do I know what ohm they are?

I'm so excited I just got my new starter kit with an eGo vision and twist, and a new Kanger EVOD Clearomizer and a Mini Kanger Protank! Got some new juice to try from mountbaker too!

I ordered some extra atomizer heads and I ordered 2 each 1.8 ohm and 2.4 ohm. The packages just say Kanger on them and they look EXACTLY the same with no indication as to which is which. How do I know which one is which and also any idea which atomizer heads would have come with my tanks?

Can you post the link where you purchased them. Usually they come in a box and the box is marked.

They did not come in a box. They came in a small package kind of like what pills come in if that makes sense? (foil on the back and plastic on the front), with the name Kanger on the back and that is it. I took a picture of them but for some reason I am unable to upload the image to this post.

Never mind - I took it out of the package, put my readers on (I'm getting old) and found the EXTREMELY small print on the side of the head that tells me which one it is. It is definitely NOT as large and clear as it is in the picture on the above link!

Expect some variance. These are mass produced and the 'spread' is considerable.

Decent multimeter or dedicated resistance meter ( available from the usual suspects in the Far East or the Near West ) goes fpr about 15 bucks. Hi-end mods measure the ohms automatically. Bolt in , fill up, 'appy vapin'

with kanger ive noticed the printed ohm is usually the "minimum". I've had 1.8 read from 1.8-2.1, and 2.4 range up to 2.7, but i've never had one that read under the listed print. as always YMMV

Ok, here is a sure fire way to know what the Ohms are. On your atomizer (especially since they're Kanger) it will say so.

I just happen to have one since my buddy took one from me and just gave me one to replace it today. I took a picture (best I could since I am using my Phone camera).

Here you go. You can see it says 2.2 on it. Look in the same spot for yours.

My Evod came with a 2.5 ohm coil. Worked great.

Company that sold me that sent me "clone" replacement coils at 1.8 ohms. They were too hot for me.

I went to Discount Vapers and ordered 2.5 ohm Kanger coils, and they work great.

The Kanger coils have the ohm rating on the base.

I am much happier with these Kanger coils than the "clones" the other company sent me.

They are also easier to clean and dry burn because the wicks don't fall apart when you remove and replace them.
