I recently purchased a 5 pack of atomizers and two of them had a weird taste to them after they were broken in. They almost tasted like the filter filling(blue foam) was burining. but, it wasn't the filter because I changed atomizers and it tasted fine. I tried soaking them in hot water and still have that taste to them. Has anyone experienced this? They work great but just put out that horrible foam burning taste. Any suggestions would be great!!!

What kind of atomizer? There's a few out there with different things you can do. If it's even possible, put a few drops of eliquid right in there and get the coil wet. Burning taste tends to be a lack of juice.

If it's anything like the 510, then sometimes they need juice past the coil in the resevoir underneath before it stops "drinking" the juice and vaping it. Few drops in there, leave it a few minutes, then another drop or two and see how it goes!

Take an attie straight out of box. Flood the attie with juice. Blow out the excessive juice. Fire it up and you should immediately be able to get a great vape as far as the attie is concerned. There should be no need to break them in. No need to vape off protective liquid because you have flooded the attie with juice that overpowers the flavor of the protective liquid. Atties are in general very poorly designed and constructed. You are likely to damage the atty while cleaning it. Never let an atty dry out. Keep it in contact with juice at all times.

While a dry burn is not good for the life of an atty, an older atty can perform better after a dry burn in my experience.

I wouldn't let a new atty get dry because it works best new.

Did you wash out and dry the atty's Before you used them.

I do a quick dry burn to check for smoke on ANY atty or filler-less carto. If you don't like dry burning then I would suggest you boil an atty for 5 minutes before the First use.

BTW - Primer Fluid is an Urban Myth. It's Machinery Oil.
