2 weeks to a month max, on average.

I doubt it, but anyway to recharge them? Or once they're done, they're done?

Once they are cold done, they are done. Round file them or save them for a rainy day for when one of the brilliant mods figures out a way to revive them.

The only way to revive them would be to replace the element (which is similar to a filament in a light bulb). This would likely to cost/time prohibitive, not to mention difficult.
