Can someone provide a "Average" lifespan of an atomizer or what "should" be expected out of one? Im currently on the V2 Ecigs, but looking at upgrading to the Reo mod. I have no real idea on which Atomizer to purchase or where, and would really like to know how long I should expect one to normally last. I want to purchase enough of them when I buy the Reo but am a bit lost...............

There's way too many variables to say a set lifespan. Some attys are better than others and will last longer. What juice you are using can greatly affect lifespan, thicker VG juices clog attys and cartos faster, juices that contain flavoring sediments clog attys/cartos very quickly. User error will obviously shorten the lifespan of an atty/carto greatly. Etc, Etc.

Atomizers generally last a long time if you keep the coil wet. A dry atty can burn out rapidly, but you won't keep vaping it if that happens. I have atties that still work from two years ago, but I quit using attys a long time ago and switched to cartomizers.

A cartomizer is technically an atty, but with a filler material built into the casing or a long wick that extends down into a tank.

if you use attys, then keep several around for backups. I wouldn't worry about being out unless I was down to my last one!

Yeah that's a bit of an ill framed question. If you want to use a specific model of atty and are wondering what that lifespan is you could get a better answer. I also have attys that are about a year old now and still work just fine. Normally I'll use most of my 901 attys for about a month before I replace them just because performance is no longer optimal. They still work when I replace them and would probably be resurrected if I wanted to clean them but I would rather just get a brand new one at that point...

Attys also get a crud buildup on the coil and that will make them seem less effective. Do a search for "dry burn". That's a processs of washing out the atty under a faucet and then pulsing the switch for a second or two at a time until the coil glows cherry red. This burns off the crud and restores the coil for better vaping. While dry burning, you will notice a wisp of smoke as the coil burns off the dried juice.

When I was using atty's exclusively a pair would last me about a month. I'd get a solid 3 weeks out of one before ordering a new one. 901 atty's are great right out of the box and are great on flavor, as soon as you get the primer fluid off. 510 attys take a few days to a week to hit their stride and seem to take better to the various cleaning methods out there so the few days I lost getting them up to good performance, I'd gain from cleaning them.
