Atomizer Noob questions

I've been vaping for a few months almost exclusively using cartomizers. Started out with Halo 808s and now havea couple of 510 mods that I love. The only time I really use atomizers is to test new juices (store purchased and DIY). The only atomizers I have used are the ones that have shipped with the starter kits I bought. I am pretty sure these are not the highest quality.

I keep reading the forum and folks seem to really talk up atomizers and it sems like they perform better than cartos. I'd like to try some higher end attys to see if it improves the experience.

Now for the questions.

I have 510 devices (epower 14650, Parkes vaping Diamond and have a Sneaky Peat that I won that is in the mail). I assume I can use any atty that is 510. What is this 306 designation I keep reading about? Is this a totally different threading? If so I guess I would need an adapter.

I tried the cartridges that came with my stock attys and hated them. Leaky, don't hold much liquid, don't feed very well. Dripping is great when you wat to think about it but whenI read or work I just want to push a button and vape. Are there reliable tanks that can be used with a basic tube mod?

I apologize as I know this has probably been covered a thousand times thoughout this forum.

I am just learning what cartomizers work with what.....I think. I used the little 510 batteries for several months only. I tried carto's, only the standard and they did not work. Now, that I have got into the big battery, ego, vgo, vv, I use low resistant boge carto's. These work great and the standard carto's still don't work well with these for me. From what I read, the higher resistance works better with 5V batteries. I hope more post their experience, because inquiring minds want to know....lol!

The best 510 attys IMO are Joye. The only way to use them is dripping. The carts suck like you said. The 306 atty is the same thread as the 510, no adapter needed. My favorite carto to use in a tank is the dual coil(510) or the Fusion sold at Ikenvape but they are 801 thread so you would need an adapter. I would stay away from the CE2 type carto. They don't wick worth a crap. Again these are just my opinions and I'm sure some will disagree.

Thanks for the replies. Good to know the 306 is thread compatible with the 510 mods. Was hoping to find some kind of a tank setup that would work well with a 306 atomizer. I've seen the bottom feeders but I really don't want to have to buy another mod right now.

I like dripping right onto an atty. it's my preferred method.

Just get a drop tip and you're set!!

The regular joye attys are perfect to use. You should get a good month out of them.
