I have 1 atomizer that suddenly doesn't want to hold any of my carts tightly anymore. All of the carts I stick in this atty are very loose now but I can stick the same carts in another atty (from a different supplier I will not name) and the same cart fits tightly like I'm used to.

Anyone ever had an atty start acting like this?

It is my experience that attys DO expand, over time, from the heat that is generated while vaping.

The needle trick will work to help keep the carts secure but there will be a bit of leakage so just be ready for that. Generally, though, this just means it's time for a new atomizer...They're cheap enough that it's not a big deal.

I reckon I'm going to order 10 or so atty's in a couple of weeks, just to be on the safe side ;)

I am having the same problem with the cartridge/atomizer fit. But in my experience the atomizer is far from dead when the fit is no longer snug. With the economy being what it is these days I would not call the atomizers cheap. This is also why they call US the disposable society. In many other countries people go through great lengths to re-use and maximize the lifetime of the goods they buy. And it is not always because it saves money either.

This is not an accusation or anything, I am guilty of this as much as anyone else. It is more an observation after seeing that the only poster who gave a tip on a possible way to fix the problem is writing from Germany.

Agreed. Terraphon made an excellent vid of how to tighten the cart. It wasn't his original idea, but at least he put it on video. If you have an atty that has lasted long enough to suffer heat deformation without ruining it, you better hang on to it. It is far more common for the cart to simply be wearing a bit.

I have been using the same cart for 4 months. It's a bit looser, but it still doesn't leak with proper stuffage.

Had a couple of 801 attys come this way when new. None of the carts fit very tightly, but worked well. Used a needle nose pliers to 'slightly' bend the rim of the atomizer in - grabs the cart just fine. A little bend goes along way. Bend a bit, try the fit with a cart, bend a bit more if needed.

Looks fine, works fine. Best!
