Hi all,

Got an RM2 with my first Grand, then bought a Cyclone. Well, the RM2 needed some action, so I bought another Grand. When the second one arrived, I built the RM2 and vaped it for one evening, but had the urge to try a low-resistance Boge carto, which worked great, and gave me a very nice vape. I guess it would, as I believe the Reo was originally designed to work with cartos.

Anyway, I want to try something shorter than a standard carto. I found a LR super shorty carto at madvapes and also saw some 510 atomizers, which brings me to my questions. I know that the cartomizers have a limited lifespan, but was wondering about the 510 atomizers. The 510 atomizers start at 5-6 bucks vs just a couple of bucks for the cartomizers. Do the 510 atomizers out-live the cartomizers by a significant margin? Do they both work equally well on the Reo? Is the vape comparable?

I'm sure I could just get a couple of each and try them out, but I'm wondering if there is a clear-cut preference amongst the residents of Reoville.

Thanks.

OK, looked at the HH357. Why are these things 22 dollars? Do they last for months?

Obviously I (we) don't mind spending a few bucks on our hobby, but what is the justification for the price?

The HH357 is a hand-made atomizer made here. Hand-wrapped coils, ceramic coil cups, and steel mesh as a wicking material. They do tend to last me at least 6-8 weeks each, are easily cleaned with a vodka bath, and give a ton of flavor and vapor. Considering I vape NETs ( naturally extracted tobaccos) almost exclusively which are coil-killers, I have been thrilled with them.

People on "normal" juices have had them last as much as 4-6 months with regular cleanings every few weeks. Try one out and a Cisco-spec side by side. Both great atomizers - the HH is just in a league of its own in my opinion and makes a great match on the mechanical Reos.

Yes the HH357 is good. I used a couple of them back in atomizer day. Just realize that they might not last long. I sure didn't get weeks out of mine. To me they were not a good bang for my buck!

I used the Joye L.R. 510 and 306. Got the 1.5 and I was very happy. I did like the 306 better. For me they gave the best flavor and vapor. Of course you must have the 306 drip tip.

Used cartomizers for awhile. But that didn't last long. To me they were inferior to atomizers.

Everything changed for me with the RBA's. Nothing else I had used came close to what they gave in flavor and vapor.

Don't forget to look at the atomizers from EmpireMods. Both in 510 and 306 versions. Supposed to be a good atty for the price and recommended by a lot of peeps in the forum.

But, so far, my various attys and cartos are sitting on the shelf since I've began using an A7. If I take a 2 hour drive on the road, I'll slap on a 1.7 Smok resurrector carto. Great for extended vaping.
