So I used my DSE801 the other day and found Ms T's "how to clean an atomizer" on you tube. I put my atomizers in a bowl of hot water for 20 minutes, and once they were done, blew them out and set them upright to let them drain. Once they were dry I reused my DSE801 and put a new cartridge in and get nothing. The atomizer warms up, no vapor comes out....occasionally I get a little bit but it tastes burnt. Ive tried for 5 minutes and the atomzier stays a constant warm and doesn't cool off very quick.

Now I did the same cleaniing method with my eGo atomzier and the atomizer stays warm as well. Doesn't seem to cool off as quick as it did the first time I used it, although I am getting plenty of vapor....

Are my atty's dead, or what's going on? Please help, the DSE801 was going to be a gift to my friend and it feels gone.

It sounds like your 801 atty is running a little dry. Try dripping a couple of drops of juice right on the bridge, let it set for 30 seconds and take a puff. If it's still dry, repeat. You'll know if you get too much in it as it'll start gurgling. If you do get that, blow through it from the other end and you should be fine.

I very rarely clean my atomizers and when I do, I use PGA mostly because I don't want to wait overnight for the water to dry out completely. If you decide that you really like the 801, you might want to look at the BE112 atty. I like it better then the DSE801, seems to give a little better flavor.

sounds like they are either dry in which case add some drops into the atty.
or
might be the wick is still wet with water. try blowing them out from the mouthpiece end into a paper towel. redrip and prime atty with few drops of juice. try again and repeat.

keep trying. Probably will come back to life.

I dont clean mine with water. just use them and dont try and clean them or you run into these situations.

I have the same problem. I read here, somewhere, that you can pour boiling water through them then let them sit in it for an hour maybe, dry them and bam, your set. I stupidly did all 4 of mine...and they didn't work. Tried blow drying them, slow cookin in the oven at 250ish and nothing. had to go buy a dang pack of smokes for $10.10!! so I ordered more atomizers.

so....I think my moral is don't experiment with everything you got. hold on to one at least. even if it doesn't work so great.

and...my question, I use the blu atomizers so maybe these can't be put in water? I also just ordered the 910's maybe? I think I read here, somewhere, that they are compatable with blu's.

whew.

that's it.

hi. I'm new so I had to post all my questions here.

Christina7: The Blu atomizers will work on 510 batteries. The Blu is a L88B which is thread compatable with most 510 devices. People that like the flavor from the smaller atty often get the bigger 510 batteries so they don't have to recharge as often. Just be sure not to try to charge the 510 battery with your Blu charger, the polarity is reversed and you will blow both the charger and the battery.

actually, I bought the attys for the 510 but am putting them on the blu battery. but I guess they will work then since they are thread compatible. Maybe I will just get the 510 batteries too. I'm a regular freakin circus act shuffling these batteries from one charger to another.

oh if you only knew how unlucky and accident prone I am :) I will buy their charger too then. sometimes I feel a little crazy buying all this crap, droppin wierd liquid into my carts, using suringes, toothpicks. I've become obsessed.

thanks for the info!

Tall shot glass of vodka and all your attys overnight. Blow dry and let them rest a few hours.
Funny thing I found is when using sweet fruit e juices, they tend to leave traces of their taste in the atty, sometimes for days. This is how I deal with that problem.

so have a shot of vodka, then wake up and blowdry my attys? jk. no thanks. I have a fear of soaking them in anything. I will just buy new ones. I can get 2 for the price of a pack of smokes. I use that excuse for everything now.
thx,
