I recieved the Joye 510 yesterday (as well as a Riva). This morning I opened the atomizer packages and could see fluid inside them so I removed the little caps to rinse them out before use. They were empty? Isn't there supposed to be some type of filler in them? I've watched the videos and such on replacing with fluval or the tea bag method so I assumed there would be something inside them.
Maybe I'm confusing these with cartomizers?
They were definitely new, the packages were sealed but no filling in them.

I plan on using mostly cartomizers in my Riva most of the time since I drive alot during the day for work, need the battery to last longer. But the Joye 510 I was going to use to try new juices at times without having to fill a whole cart. I know I can drip but was confused by no filler material in the cart. I never read anywhere stating you had to have filler for the cart on a new atomizer,,just about getting the primer out. Hmmm will be interesting to say the least,,lol.

I got them in a PIF and was also confused.... I was told you have to fill the middle cylinder with juice by poking it with a syringe.

I have not tried it because I don't have any unused syringes (have goats :))

Send a pm to the person that sent them to you and find out the exact name of the type of atomizers you have. Then go to you-tube or come back here and we can help a bit better.

Shining-atomizers are shipped with dummy carts on them. The fluid on them is a primer fluid that doesn't have a good taste to it.
Usually wiping them down very well and blowing them out then put a few drop of pg or your e-liquid directly onto the mesh of the atomizer will get you off to a good start. For the first 3-5 puffs do not inhale. After that you should be good to go.
A lot of people rinse as you did.

Yeah, what they said (except the cartomizer stuff)....

The attomizer/cart combo is 2 parts of a 3-piece system (the third being a batter/power supply). So you have:
1) a Cartridge, or Cart, that has the filler material. It is the plastic mouthpiece that holds the juice (unless you drip).
2) an atomizer, the "heater" or Vaporizer, that DOESN'T HAVE FILLER... it is the metal part that heats. Often full of primer as you noted...good that you rinsed it out. It comes with an empty cart on it for shipping and/or dripping.

You can use the empty cart with the atty, but only for dripping. This is where you drip 3 drops of e-juice into the atty, right on the bridge. Put the plastic cart/mouthpiece on and vape. Remove plastic car, dip 3 more drops, vape......

You'll have to get carts with filler if you want to put juice in them, or put filler into the empty cart (I don't even bother with that anymore... I just drip).

BTW.... carts are not to be confused with cartos.... one little letter 'o' difference....cartomizers are a 1-piece unit with combined filler/mouthpiece/atty.
