Atomizer questions

I just but some replacement atomizers for my janty dura and im having trouble getting any flavor from my carts when I draw off it. It tastes like metal instead of coffee or red bull. Is there something I need to do to the atomizer first. My original atomizer does not taste like this. Also it is leaking sometimes on particular carts like my red bull liquid. I have a fresh battery going, cart is not topped off, and i am doing a slow soft draw and i am basically drinking it. Could this have anything to do with atomizer? just a little confused that this is just happening on my new ones. Could it be a matter of just breaking them in? please help. Thank you

Hi BV. Try dripping a couple of drops of eliquid into your atomiser and try that, make sure it's not too wet or dry.

If the taste persists you could try washing the atomiser. Look on the hints and tips board for ideas on how to do that. Basically you can just rinse it with water, dry and drip to reprime.

I can't think of anything else but if you still have problems do a tag search for troubleshooting.

Leaking cartridges is a problem with the Dura, but the leaking typically occurs where the cart meets the atomizer, not leaking at the mouthpiece so that you get a mouthful of eliquid. Bleck.

In my experience, when I get a mouthful of eliquid with the Dura, it's typically because I overfilled the cart OR because my battery is weak.

Also, I find that I have to draw harder on my Dura to get the battery going. It may just be possible that you're drawing so softly that you're not engaging the battery sufficiently . . . and therefore the atomizer isn't running, so you're basically sucking in the liquid with nothing getting vaporized.
