Give us some general guidance.

well, I already have a few rebuildables, I have a patriot and an omega, but I kind of suck at building my own coils lol. Oh, I also have a Silo Tank.
Grab a Tugboat. I got one on a whim, looking at the design not expecting it to be anything special, especially compared to the other stuff coming out (plume veil, Vulcan, Tobhs, etc) but man this thing is such a tank. The default airflow on it's great (and always drillable if so desired) and the deck is super easy to work on. It also has a deep juice well and gives great flavour. Such a solid little atty.
My two favourite builds on it are either twisted 28 ga dual macros with 6 wraps on a 1/8" bit, or just some straight up 24 ga dual macros on a 1/8" bit. First build is 0.35 ohms and second is 0.25, and IMO that's the sweetspot for this thing. Watch your battery safety and stuff though.
Also the clones are super cheap and plentiful.

My favorite topper ATM is Kanger Aerotank--there are several versions and they are all good. I use the regular size (and the new mini) and they both work great. Keep your coils clean--I soak mine in PGA when I change flavors, dry burn once a week or when they begin to taste funny. Then I chuck them--I like a fresh coil. 
BTW, there are plenty of great educational videos on YouTube showing you, step-by-step, how to rebuild anything, so don't give up the rebuildables just yet. There are nice vaping stores in LA where you can get a hands-on tutorial in rebuilding, also.
