Atomizer

Hi I'm new to all this. One question I have is does the atomizer have to be kept upright? I have a Vamo v5 when I packed it all away last night I left some liquid in the atomizer which was on its side in the box. This morning I opened the box to find the liquid had leaked out.
It is going to be a major pain when I'm out and about if I have to keep it upright. Is it possible to get ones that won't spill?

Bit about me, I'm a nearly 60 yr old woman. Married with two children and a step-daughter, all grown and flown. I have four grandchildren. On Saturday I was at a celebration and a friend was using a Vamo when I went out for a smoke. I know he used to smoke 50 a day so we got chatting and here I am; hoping to have the same success that he has.

I'm sure I shall have more questions as I start using it more, and it's good to know there is help around. At the moment I'm still trying to get the technique of it right so I don't choke myself lol.

Hi Redruth!

Generally speaking, depending on what tank you are using, it should not leak, but some of them are more prone to leakage than others under some conditions.

Also, some may leak and/or "weep" a bit if the O-rings are worn, or if you tighten things down too much.

May I ask what type of atomizer you are using?

The leakage you experienced is probably due to the quality of the atomizer itself. I assume it's some sort of small, inexpensive tank type "clearomizer" where you unscrew the bottom (or top) to fill it... yes?
The cure would be to buy a better quality product, made by a popular, well known firm. Kanger, Innokin, Aspire and Anyvape are all considered "premium" China brands... with clearomizer and glassomizer products far less likely to leak.

Your leaking issue is due to your atty you have installed on your vamo. Please describe your tank (the thing that holds juice).

With a decent atomizer you should not have leaks, upright, sideways or upside down.

Should not leak, that is if it a halfway decent clearomizer. I generally try and leave mine upright though, better for keeping the wick wet.

And what is this pack it away in a box thing you speak of?

Try a Spheroid. Won't leak no matter how you lay it down.

Thank you to all who responded. It's a CE4 atomizer and I think it's a glass tank - lol all double Dutch to me - two were included in the starter pack. I expect they are just cheap but wanted some advice before I spend any more money because I really think I'm going to like this and be successful in giving up smoking cigs which is costing me over £70 a week. Not even going what it's doing to my health.

I used to live in Sussex, but now in Cornwall I also mainly use a Vamo

The CE4 isn't glass, but a type of plastic & some e-liquids can crack them

Ce4 was the first for me, I still remember laying in bed the first night so f'ing pleased I could vape there like the good ole days of smoking in the house, heh. At that excact moment I poured ejuice in my mouth because of the tilt on the clearo! Mano man that was BAD mouth stinging, I actually spit on my floor! the futile attempts to rinse. You might be able to tell, I don't think much of the Ce4.

Get yourself a KangerTech AeroTank. Others experience may differ but they have been nothing but pleasurable for me. I have at least eight and counting now.

I use a mini Nautilus on my Vamo at the moment. At present, I think this combination is better than anything else on the market, including Kangers.

The 'quality' of the vapour comparing the Aspire mini Nautilus to the Kanger Aerotank is evenly matched, or entirely personal, if you like.

I use the Aspires as they last 20 days, instead of about 5. (sorry to say, but it's true...)

What does a coil cost you? I get Kanger coils for 73 cents a piece shipped from dhgate NOT ali express, not sure if any of their sellers sell the Aspire coils. Hmmmm.

I am getting a little more secure with my masculinity though, so maybe I could finally own a Nautilus

All kidding aside, I don't think that buying either one would be a mistake. I consider the AeroTank Mega and the Nautilus the top two clearomizer out today for those that don't want to build. The smaller ones are great too, I just don't like fiddling around refilling all the time.

Well my KangerTech AeroTank has arrived. But I can't seen to fill it when I follow the given instruction the glass tank becomes 'free' and is impossible to keep the e-liquid in, so then I tried removing just the thread base but the e-liquid just poured through the mouthpiece. Arghhhhh!
What am I doing wrong? I'm really not that thick lol but I just can't figure it out. Please help.
