I've been vaping for quite some time now but I've stuck to the starter kit (if not mistaken, was an eGo VV F1 pen) all year long. I'm guessing my starter pen must've been used with a carto or clearo (pardon me if i'm wrong) because it's the type where you have to refill its tank whenever it runs out of juice, I've never had problems with the starter kit, and I could inhale flawlessly with no harshness whatsoever. Last week I purchased a decent mech mod and a Tobh atty, seeing it was time I step it up a notch. I received it yesterday in the morning and worked on the atomizer coil build immediately and after everything was done, I took my first inhale of my new vape and to my surprise, I started coughing real bad and it even burnt my throat a little. I thought maybe I might've built it incorrectly and so I searched up some youtube videos to guide me through. It has been exactly 24 hours now and I have rebuilt the atom 5 times altogether but the same thing happens, I try taking a hit and my upper lungs start hurting and I cough a little (which is funny because it doesn't when I do it with my starter pack pen). Is there something wrong with my new vape or is it just me? :( Are advanced vapes so much different from the starters? :/ I've been really looking forward to my new one and I spent close to 300 bucks on this and it just really kills my mood to know that I'm not going to enjoy it at all. Will getting myself a carto and swapping it off my atty work? Somebody please respond to this thread :(

Sounds like you may have the ohms too low on your atty.

How about telling us at what ohms you built the coil? Gauge of the wire, how many wraps, diameter of the coil, wick material???
What is the pg/vg ratio and the nic content of your juice? Maybe a picture of your build?

Do you have any vape shops close that you could visit and see if they can help?
