Hi,

Just bought an Ego-T kit with standard atty s and arrived last saturday.

I start vaping right away and I like it so much but yesterday my first atty stopped giving me vapour

(ATTY GETTING HOT BUT NO VAPOUR AT ALL) so i changed it with the other one that I got in the kit

and that s ok.

Today the second one stopped . I cleaned it and changing the battries with no luck.

Is there somethig to try the atty is not totally dead beacuse im feeling it getting hot.

I dont want to smoke the analogs again .

Really stupid question, but are you making sure the cartridge is filled properly?
Yeah, I don't want this to come out wrong either, but getting hot with no vapor sounds like it could be dry, too. Are you certain that you have the cartridge filled, and are you certain that it is properly inserted in the atty? Piercing the cartridge slightly before you insert it will make the process a little easier.

Actually, I did think of something else. I had this happen with my first two B-type tank atomizers. Both of them worked for about a day and a half or so and then just wouldn't wick anymore. When I took them apart I discovered the coil had burnt the wicks down to stubs so they weren't even reaching the coil anymore. Now, these atties burned pretty warm, and I'm thinking they were probably defective such that they were burning way hotter than they should be. Coupled with what I'm quite certain were really cheap wicks (low grade glass fiber wick I'm guessing) it rendered them completely useless. I never tried (because I got fed up with tanks and went with dual coil cartos) but I'm sure they could be re-wicked with some good quality wicking.

@stef64- Yes these are type A tank attys I try to air blow them with no luck.

@Mindfield- Yes Im sure they are filled properly Ive been using them for 2 days and with a great vape. Now I took them apart and discovered that part of the wick is burnt.

I try it with the wick removed but still no luck.

Better to order new ones I think

Well, keep in mind the wick will look burnt no matter what you do. Charring is normal as long as it doesn't actually burn away. If the wick is too short and isn't reaching the coil, then you have a problem. It should stick up about 1/4" above the flat part of the underside of the plate so that it effectively fans out over the coil. If it isn't reaching the coil, that is your problem.

Removing the wick will just cause flooding.

You can get replacement wick material from MadVapes, and there is a mod you can do to work as a new "cap" for the end of the wick that sticks out of the piercing needle. You can either use 400 micron stainless steel mesh to make a new cap, or you can make a new cap out of the material used in Tetley pyramid tea bags. I know there are instructions around here somewhere.

If i was you Chri i would start off getting some boge lr cartomizers! They ae very easy to use and very cheap coompared to atomizers... You can get a 5 pack for what you pay for one atomizer and they work great IMO. I was never a fan of the ego-t attys you have to fiddle with them to much for them to work properly IMO... Good luck!

Because many have problems with tanks...

You may also want to order 1-2 510 atomizers and a 510 drip tip - good for testing juice or vaping if you want

And definitely order a pack of Boge 510 cartomizers - try the 3 ohm first because they are better to learn on. After that, you may prefer the hotter 2 ohm ones (which will also use your battery charge up faster). Most people use cartomizers for their all-day juices and Boge are most popular. I use PG juices with 20% or less VG in these. Juice needs to flow freely in a cartomizer to keep them from singeing. Fill well with 18-24 drops, clean up, allow to settle by laying on different sides for 15-20 min. Then while vaping, add juice to keep it damp - if a carto gets too dry it will singe.

Also - what PG/VG of juice are you putting in your tanks? If your juice is too thick (too much VG) it won't flow fast enough and you could burn out attys. Tanks like up to 30% VG and some thinner 50/50 juices will work.

And how clear is your juice? if you use any juice that drops a lot of flavoring sediment (typically darker juices) then you will clog up atomizers and cartomizers faster.
