I have been recoiling for about 8 months and achieved a good level of consistency and success, but always single coils. I wanted to try a dual coil setup on my Russian 91%. I went through 10-12 coils, each perfect when made, but destroyed when trying to attach to the posts on the Russian. I was about to give up on dual coils even though I really wanted to give it a try. Finally I made this simple jig and it has made all the difference in attaching the coils.
I wrap my coils individually on a 1/16" drill bit and then transfer them to this jig, one coil per post. I twisted together the Pos and neg leads of the coils to facilitate capturing the leads under the screws.

Then I put the loaded jig on the Russian, between the posts to hold the coils in place while I pull the leads tight and wrap around the screws. The result is nice tight coils with no deformity and securely attached to the Russian.

Finally wick as usual.

I've set up one on my Russian 91% and my Kayfun Lite+. Both set ups came in at 1.5 Ohms for the combined dual coils made using 32ga Kanthal with 10 wraps on each coil. Vapor, flavor, and throat hit are excellent.
