Just in case you have not read the "Write Your Representatives" about the FDA aggressively stopping ecigs.... please read and send letters/emails to Representatives and Senators. Don't know about Lieberman's position on ecigs but I do know newly elected Senator Blumenthal made an uneducated statement against ecigs when he was our Attorney General. Here's my letter..... hope you will all do the same...... CT is one of the highest taxed state in the Union on tobacco and this IS the main reason they (REPS) are against the ecigs. Let CT find other ways to gather tax dollars and not at the expense of your life and health......

Please tell the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to stop wasting taxpayer money on their attempts to ban electronic cigarettes as "unapproved drug-delivery devices." Two levels of the U.S. federal court system have told the FDA they cannot seize incoming shipments and that they should be regulating the products under the tobacco Act. Yet the FDA persists in wasting our tax dollars on filing more appeals. They also continue to seize incoming shipments in defiance of the court orders.
I smoked tobacco cigarettes for over 40 years. I attempted to quit many times but was NEVER successful until I tried the electronic cigarettes. I have not had a tobacco cigarette going on 5 months. This is the first time EVER I've gone this long without wanting a tobacco cigarette. I feel much better thanks to the electronic cigarettes because there are only 3 ingredients in the vapor juice.... not like the 4,000 chemicals in tobacco cigarettes.
My doctor is delighted that I have quit tobacco cigarettes and when I showed him the electronic cigarette and how it works, he had me demonstrate it to 6 other doctors so they could recommend this to their patients as an alternative to smoking tobacco. I truly believe the pharmacutical companies along with state governments are against electronic cigarettes solely based on loosing tax dollars charged on tobacco and profits made on prescriptions for quitting (i.e. Chantix (extremely dangerous) and Nicotine Patches. The American Association of Public Health Physicians has stated that products like the electronic cigarette could save the lives of 4 million of the 8 million U.S. smokers who would otherwise die of smoking related disease within the next 20 years.
